What's the best way to display 1 inch figures?

I know it's a niche collectable, but pic related, some guy on Etsy, is the only proper display I've found online and he charges an insane amount for them. Any suggestions?

It's only $18 with free shipping right? That's not so bad, it's the price of one TVC fig. I was expecting like 30 or 40 or something because a lot of custom stuff is ridiculously overpriced. But I guess it will add up if you need to get multiples.

You don't even need those clear ice cube trays. Any number of things like tackle boxes or anything that is clear or plastic that is used for storage of things in sewing, crafts, tools/hardware, etc. should work.

just make your own dude. Use Pla Plate and plastic cement and you can customize the spaces as you see fit.

And even tackle boxes are probably more expensive than something similar you could find for wood work, hobbyist, or simply for storing things like nuts and bolts, if you ask around at say a Home Depot or a Lowe's. A tackle box is something for a hobby, so it might retail for more, whereas a tray just to hold nuts and bolts, I mean who cares about paying extra for that?

I bet you could find some customizable 'organising tray' 3d model online for beads or something and repurpose it to do the same thing.

OP this kind of shit is so easy to model, you could learn to do this in 30 mins or less. And you can get a 3D printer for like $200 nowadays. Which will pay for itself in no time if the Etsy seller is charging $18 per. Plus, if you model it yourself, you can make custom ones for special figure sizes, like those droids. It just makes more sense to take control yourself.

You don't even need the model or to invest in a 3D printer *unless* you were going to do other stuff with a printer. You can get trays for a reasonable price and OP only needs 3-4 trays for some 50 figures.
