I am a whore for black and white.
I have an old film Cannon AE1 that I loved to shoot with and I had occasional access to a darkroom and supplies so it was pretty much black and white for me.
Sure color is good but I think telling a story is often better done in black and white. (sorry, I'm a trifle high and that sounds kind of pretentious.)
