Basically the answer is generals ruined 4chan, 2016 election tourists, then 2020, zoomers, cell phones and social media (look at all the insane youtuber spam on the whole board.) Look at the little circle on the color wheel motherfucker. Now imagine it split in pizza slices. It's unequivocally in the blue(rgb blue, not cyan blue) slice. Moreover look at the Hue(H) value. The Hue is around at 220 when the hue value of purple/violet is around 270. You are a literal moron

you objectively cant imply that a color with a hue that is distinctively inbetween cyan blue and rgb blue is any shade of purple, it would have to be somewhere intebween rgb and magenta for it to have any validity

and the fourth(from the right) 1x2 are blue. the others could indeed be qualified as shades of purple. the color this moron >>11206131 chose to highlight(notice how he didnt go for the one that is named violet(which is indeed a shade of purple at least) here >>11206109 is blue and that cannot be disputed.

there's room for nuance and ambiguity in colors as far as exact names of particular shades but cyan blue, magenta, yellow, red, rgb green and rgb blue cannot be disputed. if something is inbetween cyan blue and rgb blue(like the damn slug and this brick >>11206131) then it is objectively is a shade of blue and there's no reality where you should call it purple as the various shades of purple are inbetween rgb blue and magenta, it's not fucking arbitrary.

I love this set but I think it was a mistake to make this whole part lined by water. I think people naturally wanna imagine there's more forest extending beyond the confines of the set so you can still play on the imaginary terrain in the front. by implying it's all water you "cant" really put your figures outside the boundaries as they would be "on water"(unless it's a really really thin river and you're now across it). I think I might replace all these blue plates for green ones

So those pieces are blue with heavy white reflections that make them more faded.

I'm building it next, so I'll be straight about how good the set holds up in the build, stability, playability and all that shit. I'm gonna set the record if it's actually a decent build. The creator of those instructions told me he liked the build but that it's fragile, so I'm probably gonna give it a low score. We'll see. I play with my shit, so I'm gonna say each and every spot that breaks apart from general use. But if it holds up, I can see the Creator Castle and 5 D&D minifigures being a worthy budget version

Still, if you have the Creator set already, why the heck not try it?

Why do people get so mad about the wheelchair? If I was a kid and got this set I just wouldn't put the guy in the wheelchair, simple as. Plus I'd have a sweet wheelchair for when one of my guys gets injured during battle in a storyline, until he gets magically healed or gets robot legs or a battle mech body. And even then I'd likely use the wheelchair to breathe life into a broken minifig, since I relentlessly swapped leg pieces around as a kid and inevitably broke legs off and was left with broken and crippled minifigs.

The more I look at them, the more I really am starting to believe those Animal Crossing houses are some of the best single story house builds they’ve released in terms of balancing affordability, display, and play. It’s a shame they’re tied to a license in the way that they are. I think many are overlooking them because of it, but I’m not complaining about the discounted prices I’m seeing in stores.

Look at this garbage. It looks good only on box cover (this why zoomers spamming "KINO" because they never actually had it and don't have it).

It's better, keep in mind the monster fighters castle was way cheaper and it comes with 2 vehicles and a side build as well as way more and way better minifigures. Just because it's smaller doesn't mean it's worse, and the monster fighters castle uses the space way more effectively, whereas the hidden side one has only 4 stud deep rooms which are awful for play. ALSO, look at how many stickers the hidden side one has, EWW (And they don't even colour match the bricks they are stuck to)!!! I can't see any stickers in the monster fighters set.

I have 4 main drawer units without about 7 drawers each. I use these for any 'medium' sized pieces. I subdivide this boxes into 4 with those plastic food storage tubs you often get when you order chinese. First unit one has mostly bricks and brick adjacent things, second one is just plates, 3rd is tiles, snot bricks, jumper plates and slopes, last one is wedge plates, modified plates, and other miscellaneous medium sized pieces. Pieces that are too large (big wheels, baseplates, ect) go in a big box unsorted. Really small bits (anything 1x1, or sometimes 1x2) go in another drawer unit, ones of those ones typically used for organising screws. Those ones are usually 1 piece type per draw, but sometimes I subdivide the draws if I don't have much of a specific piece.

That was basically how they were for a long time.
I think the golden age of space themes was the period from 1987 to 1996 where they rotated the themes so you always had multiple (usually 3) different space factions sold at the same time, with all the space themes from that time-period explicitly sharing the same setting. Lego's never really done that again with their space themes. There's been a few later ones with vague connections (UFO and Insectoid aliens are both called Zotaxians implying they're the same species, but they look completely different, and the two Mars themes might take place in the same setting at different times), but no real shared universe like the 87-96 themes.

SP3 uses older space themes as references/easter eggs, like one of the alien criminals having a Blacktron logo on his outfit or SP1 and 2 uniforms in display cases being visible in one of the short animations, which is different from a proper shared universe. Based on the references it takes place in the same setting, but is aesthetically and thematically very different (humans vs aliens when the previous themes were human-only, and the aesthetics being a spaceified version of police movie tropes) and never directly interacts with the factions from the other themes. I assume SP3 takes place at some later point in the timeline (the older uniforms being displayed in the Space Police HQ would seem to support that) when humans have made contact with alien civilizations, but aside from some references it's basically a standalone sequel.

Ohh? I already started taking it apart to work on my next build, but I'd love to know what you did. I tried to keep it exactly the same to review as is, but I did modify the front ramp to extend out and down because it was still raised off the ground by like 3 studs. Still, I only used parts from the creator set. But I could see adding ladder access to the top tower areas, reinforcing the front door and adding more stuff drawing from your own part collection.

Yeah, it’s a shame that they haven’t tried to replicate the interior design aspect similar to the games, but I suppose there’s no competing on that front. But a plus side on them having an open back is that with modifications you can extend the interior floor to replicate the bigger on the inside nature of buildings from the games if you so choose.

huh, yes? the prospect of a future full blown dungeons and dragons aka fantasy castle theme was very exciting for a lot of people but by now most hope has been lost. as great as they are there's only so much you can jerk off to a single set not everyone can afford and a minifigure series everyone already has. we were hoping this was an excellent appetizer for things to come but now the feeling is that "this is it", its only natural the hype dies down.

Most of my AliExpress order came in today. 5 spotted goats for $1.75 and the dragon was $2.50.

Not pictured, but I also got in 2 horses, 3 Lion Knight soldiers, 2 Black Falcon soldiers and a 52 pack of Yellow heads to replace all the fleahies I have/will get.

Still waiting on a generic soldier minifigure, a 5 pack of black medieval helmets and a 5 pack of Dragon Master shields.

The dragon had extra plastic around his nose needing trimmed and one horse had its left head misprint and his eye on his nose. Just gonna rub it out and Gundam marker a new eye.

Overall, feels pretty good for $26. My Goat guy feels complete now with a whole group

I'm actually doing it. I'm finally getting the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Legos. Specifically, the ones based on the 2014 Michael Bay-produced movie, which is, in my opinion, the best movie in the entire franchise.
I know for sure Lego won’t reissue them anytime soon, but some old executive's stubborn indecision won’t stop me from making my own decision to get what they actively refuse to give.
I have Leo, Raph, and Mikey so far. Someone on eBay offered me a decent discount for pic related, and I took it without hesitation. So not only did I just land a Donatello, but I also have their entire ass turtle lair coming my way.

The tiles they use for outdoor pieces seem tailor made for table top games. Genuinely wouldn’t be surprised if they tried their own in house version in the future, if not get a license for a collab (renewing the DnD one seems obvious)

Looking it up, it looks like Heroica used 2 by 2 plates with a single stud for the microfigures. The rounded plates from the AC sets can have a minifigure, detailed terrain, and is big enough for brick built enemies and monsters if they so choose. It’s just a hunch, but if they don’t have one in the works I bet a table top idea got scrapped.

It's alright. Everything seems to click in place fine. A few areas that need trimming, but the pegs all click in right. Onky issue is feather pegs are too thick for normal helmets and their helmets hole is extra small and can't even properly fit a Lego feather and outright won't go in the helmets they came with. Fine otherwise

I just put em on the plates because it makes moving them around all over easier and keeps them upright. Most of the play area is a standard counter.
