Hasbro owns Rom, yes we know.
Hasbro wants to release this Rom figure as a MARVEL LEGENDS figure. Hasbro could just release Rom, some of the Micronaut characters they still fully own and others under a generic Hasbro line or on their own, but this Rom figure is being released as part of the Marvel Legend toy line.
Marvel had to give them permission to do that under THEIR branding.
