Some liquidator near the Ontario/NY border was selling the stock of an LCS that went under in 2023 in a series of huge auction on EBAY; postage was high because even driving to Niagara Falls or Buffalo is still a fucking hassle for those packages to ship out domestic, and some of their stuff sold at bargain basement prices but even some of their Funkos sold for $25 or more. It's just that those are outliers.
ONE or a HANDFUL out of a fucking thousand or so made each year.
Also, 1970s to 1990s crap was dead awful, whether we are talking toys or comics or what have you, but some people have nostalgia goggles about their childhood or near childhood stuff. So some original Star Wars toy from say the mid 1980s might sell whereas shit from the last ten years, even if based on the original trilogy, can't be given away.

But if they do start to do things like getting rid of the ability to scalp concert tickets, it will eventually impact hard goods like books, comics, toys, etc.
