the only original theme is Dreamzzz and it's exact same situation that was with Nexo Knights

its fucking dead at this point. But unlike with nexos it wont have expensive minifigures.

The only desirable minifig from newer sets is that witch and she can be found in a $40 set
NightHunter and Nightmare King were the only good minifigs from season 1.
Hope you bought night hunter - it's amazing for mocs.

Dreamzzz is clearly on life support because they want to push it, (maybe) not due to wanting to force slop on us, but because they already invested a lot into it like a TV show so they want to milk the most out of it, I really don't think it sells well. In the UK stores don't even continue to buy it to put on shelves since they know it will collect dust there. Stuff from the 1st wave is still on clearance.

Not sure why this set is going on clearance, I have 2 now since I went to buy lego and it was the only set they still had. The minifigs are great for ice planet. Great cheap set to pick up and I don't know what these guys are from but it's star wars clones so I bet they will be worth a lot on the aftermarket especially if not many people picked this set up.

I recently got out of my dark age and bought two sets I always wanted as a kid: 6575 Polar Base and 7315 Solar Explorer. I was very disappointed with the quality of the bricks I received. These were original 20+ year old bricks and they felt very brittle and dull. Like they didn't feel as soft and flexible as I remember. It felt like if I were to bend them a little bit they would snap. I didn't feel like I could take this set apart again and again and moc with these bricks or anything as they would probably crack. Is that usual for old bricks? Is that normal aging? Is it bricks of the 90s specifically? Did I get a bad batch? Lego YouTubers always talk about washing bricks. Would that solve the issue?

the box is externally banged up, heavy creases and two tiny holes
hard to say what exactly happened other than it's had weight applied on the front or back face of the box
there's a nonzero chance of parts being cracked though I hope the corner took the brunt of it and maybe booklet protected some of the bags?
all seals are intact, I felt like gambling

Obviously little boys dont want be caught with a girl ninja in their hands much less one that has pink in its color scheme.
Also it doesnt help that her powers are so one sided. Her powers either work and she neutralizes in a few seconds or the enemy simply doesn't use tech or the writers have to script in a way to have her elemental tech powers countered. Sora is either really busted or useless.
Maybe she'll become slightly more useful when the writers give her spinjitzu

nexo knights was trying too hard, and the 40k hard on the designers had was kinda cringe for lego. I like 40k but kids weren't interested and they should have shifted gears after the first year

If you want color-coded dudes in funky vehicles fighting bad guys you already have that with ninjas.
Why should we care about the same shit in a different setting?
If you expected a new proper Castle theme then tough luck since it doesn't fit in with ANY other Castle theme in Lego's history.
In fact, each wave more and more threw the "Knights" and "medieval" elements out of the window to the point where the final one might as well have been a Space theme.
99% of the sets were also just vehicles so you don't even get to create a proper sci-fi Castle world - no cyber windmills, no techno villages, no data dungeon, nothing but two castles and an add-on for the Fortrex (which I count as a vehicle) - ffs, the second wave of NK was ruin-themed and the only piece of ruin was a small side-build in a store-exclusive set
Speaking of the second wave, it was basically just the first one with a shittier color scheme instead of any of those cool monster tribes they teased in that Book of Monsters.

Also, a personal peeve: aesthetically it felt like as if they wanted to harken back to the Classic Space themes from the 80s and 90s with all the angles and parts that look like the ones from that era but it kinda resulted in some of the builds looking outdated or flat out embarrassing with the two worst offenders being the clunkychunky bike in the Fortrex and the small vehicle in the Rolling Arsenal that doesn't even seems to be finished.

The only good thing is that black spaceship thing which is just like a blacktron polybag (kind of lacking due to no trans-neon green) but then the main build is just a big rectangle with tracks , wings and 2 cockpits? WTF? and the good guy's side build looks unfinished it's just a car but there is no clear way for it to be controlled and it looks like all it could do is have something very small put inside it to transport... what a totally pointless and useless vehicle.

I'm really new to actual moc building. I've only recently defeated my perfectionist autism.
So far I have everything in baggies. The most plentiful colors are separated and unique pieces, like stud shooters, printed parts, accessories or unique materials are held in smaller baggies.
There are some sets I'm sentimental of so they remain intact but there's loads of little vehicles and battle packs that I have no problem scraping for parts.

a lot of those giant sets are basically a bunch of little sets you are forced to buy all at once.

you might be able to get part of the set on a 2nd hand site for less (and no minifigs) since Lego started doing bag numbers and multiple instruction books and all, but that's such a huge hassle to do

Agreed, it feels like now a days there isn't as much cohesion in the release schedule. Some sets are enhanced by buying multiples and essentially gluing them together but that just doesn't feel as rewarding as collecting sets that tie in to one another.

I think the dragon is fine but that "dungeon" is a joke. All the parts they used on outdoor area, tower and rampart could have been better served making a dungeon with the tavern on top. Obviously not as big as this but you get the idea.

yall are vastly overestimating what can be reasonably done at the scale and level of detail modern lego demands.

this is the kind of lameass interiors a $400, $430 and $460 set gets you. you're criticizing a $360 set that has more usable exterior space than them and still has to feature a giant dragon and other brickbuilt creatures, of course compromises had to be made. there's zero evidence the theme is to continue, it's an ideas set for the 50th anniversary, the goal was making something that encapsulates the entire brand in a single model and they accomplished it, the fact that it manages to suggest the whole adventure is part of what makes it so great. having a single more detailed place to be the only lego dnd thing youll ever get would be so depressing. imagine if they had no intention of continuing zelda so the full extent of lego zelda representation would be a giant tree

they make a whole D&D "theme" of sets, but force you to buy all of them at once for a huge price, and then all the minifigs separately for $5 a piece.

you KNOW if this was D&D the "theme" it would be several sets $20-$120 with all the figures spread out among the various sets.

this sets a dangerous precedent for the future. I hate to say it, but good for Lego on giving this sales model a try. whether or not it "worked"... time will tell

Nexo Knights isn't a "Warhammer 40k theme". It's science fantasy, a broad genre that encompasses things like Star Wars, Warhammer 40k, Dune and Flash Gordon. The tank in your picture is based on a tank in ww1 that warhammer also happened to trace.
