Sometimes im happy that we had a good 3 year run of Nexo.
We basically dont have bad sets. Even that green car is kinda cool.
We never had shitty babyfied awful autistic sets. Most of nexo knights sets considered kino and they stamped with it and locked forever.

While ninjago sometimes is a pure laughing stock with crap like picrelated

I'm planning to maybe get some cheap gray lego bricks in the future to get some sort of Dungeon moc going on but I believe I'll give up by then.
To cope, which minifig should I get?

It’s a pirate captain torso from the early 2010s but with 2 yellow hands instead of a golden hook. I got it for cheap on brick link and when it arrived one arm was badly cracked and loose (I new it was used and one hand missing so no problem with the seller) so I had to replace the arm and tighten it by wadding with some tissue. Curiously the cracked arm with a hand missing was the one that is meant to be a normal hand and the normal hand (which worked completely fine immediately) is on the side that the hook is meant to be on.

Meanwhile i FINALLY FOUND that g-h-ty-anki whatever DnD minifigure. I don't need anything from it other than this cool red baby dragon (and that magic effect).
There was a whole case untouched and i was scanning through it but got tired of that autistm and just took this one.

Yeah that was kind of my thought as well, made me think of lestat or sotn alucard, which was the kind of look I wanted for my fencer, just with somewhat shorter hair

I never seen people who were interested in DnD. But i played both Bauldurs gate 1 and 2 on PC and liked it but i never saw any tieflings till that new DnD movie.

Why the name is so lame? Tiefling sounds like a little gnome/hobbit name. Like halfling or something.

its more or less you have to make your own instructions, but its not that hard. My personal method in Studio:

put everything on the same 1 step.

Create a bunch of empty steps, 40-50
select a few pieces that on the most outside of the build
right click, move to last step
hide the selected pieces.
select new pieces
right click, move to last step-1
hide the selected pieces
etc.

As much as I groan over chinese pandering, this one actually feels like an appropriate motif for a lego set. The gaps on the feet suck though. The printed quarter spheres are good for making your own, but then again I'd rather just brickbuild the whole thing.

Star Wars Lego will never have "just figures" because of the massive LOCKDOWN from Hasbro about Hasbro alone being able to do figures. Lego tried it a long time ago and Hasbro lawyers crushed it.

It's because CMFs are basically gachashit and encourage gambling behaviour so they make even more money. Thankfully bricklink costs a comparable amount to minifig packs back in the day if you're open to pieces that fit whatever theme you're going for rather than looking for specific stuff, it's still less convenient and annoying, the major gap in lego in general nowadays is the small and medium sets there used to be loads of.

I built the big Christmas tree set, and honestly the build doesn’t go together the way I was expecting. The biggest build has you create the top and the bottom of the tree, but when connecting them together there’s no stud connections locking anything in place. It’s just loose and wobbles, even with little stud towers to keep it from spinning. May take it apart and make the two smaller trees from it. Honestly if there ever was a design to update, it’d be this one.

Does LEGO do sales on Black Friday/around Christmas time? I haven't bought LEGO in a while so I'm not certain if they even have big sales. I'm aware the Lion Knights' Castle was 25% off not too long ago (which I missed), is that common?

Should I wait for any upcoming Black Friday/Christmas sales to buy some sets I want or should I just buy them now because they might not be in stock once a sale starts? As far as I'm aware, the sets I'm looking at right now will be retiring soon.

That's pretty much the only time they have sales on their website. Even then, the black friday sales are only for certain items and not all sets get a discount. The only other items that get a price reduction are retiring sets when they are clearing inventory. If there are retiring sets you are interested in then you may want to go ahead and get them. Obviously check other retailers and see if there is a cheaper price than straight from lego.

you probably already own enough pieces to do it. you just need two of X and Y pieces to make sure the arms and legs are symmetrical. have enough of each color to give it a color theme.
