I feel like lots of these recent anime that have 2 seasons lined up are known well ahead of time, seeing as how it'll be ready in Jan. If we get an S3, which i hope we do, then we'll know it's doing really well, but S2 confirmation is good nonetheless. Also hoping we see more SHF. With Bandai doing soft goods more commonly I'd even be ok with another Kinnikuman in his red and blues with the yellow cape.

1:24 scale. So about 8cm. Half the size of standard figures. Honestly I thought I'd be dissapointed, but for the size they are actually really well made and fun to pose and display. Creating dioramas and balancing them in flight poses is also a lot easier.

Just thought the silhouette of an adult holding a child's hand odd if they have no intention of doing something along those lines. Like with the shanks, I'm thinking moreso that the kid would be a statue and the adult posable. Bellemere merch has sold well in the past.

It's gonna be a big display, so honestly wouldn't be surprised to see usopp and sanji to complete the classic 5 and then maybe something unexpected like bellemere.
Given then success of dioramas in the db line it would also be cool to get a merry deck with the head for luffy to sit on.

Hope you are ready for a Egghead Zoro, Lucci, and Sanji. Shanks is popular enough where I think the set for him made sense, but One Piece lines are absolutely cursed so I wouldn't be shocked if we never get a Romance Dawn version of the original crew.

Yeah. I don't know if that will sell. Egghead zoro and nami though I think are a lock. Especially since nami also got a figzero like luffy.
Usopp and sanji pre-ts will come, but if usopp doesn't sell well we can forget every getting a bandaged sogeking version.
Franky and Brook are the 2 most likely to get shafted yet again.

I hate this shit like you wouldn't believe. Pre TS Brook/Franky are some of my favorite OP designs and both get perpetually shafted from figures. I would settle for a monkeys paw if it meant we could get the Sailing Again/fishman island crew, but I think Bandai is going to purposefully drag out any form of a complete crew to keep collectors invested in the line. (I was hopeful we could at least get a full Wano look crew, but it looks like we got the same Zoro/Nami/Sanji and then they moved on.)

This was my concern, but as a massive scale fag, i've come to realise that bandai are never going to make certain lines, like One Piece accurate 1/12. We already have a smol Kaido and the inevitable whitebeard would be the same. With the recent improvements of technology making it possible to get more articulation and sharper sculps at a smaller scale, we could see 1/24 being the future one day.

Yeah. They can't even get the scale right around the parts. Plus it'll be unlikely we ever get someone like Heart or generic bandits for kenshiro and rei to beat on. I have a few stand ins for now, but expect them to be permanent.

Kaido was around 260mm to the top of his head if you stood him straight. A 1/12 accurate Blackbeard needs to be 278mm, so having him around the height of Kaido makes sense.
Pic rel is the size of all the big OP figs we have so far, and BB if he were to scale.

I don't know what to tell you. His official height is 3440cm. Could be perspective in that panel, could be Oda being inconsistent, could be that Blackbeard grows over the timeskip due to the fruits he eats, but he is taller than the admirals and practically double Luffy's height.

Not all shonen figures are figuarts though. There is medicos, megahouse, buzzmod, storm, dig action, etc. that are too small to have their own gens, so there's no where else to discuss them. That is the main purpose of these threads.

Yeah like >>11232595 said it's mostly Renji with some pieces donated from Dual Zangetsu and the Dasin Ichigo. It was a bigger pain in the ass than it had any right to be, almost all of the joints on Renji and DZ Ichigo are slightly different. One of those weird Bandai things, I guess.

Figuarts, definitely. Figure Rise is actually good but it’s very light and doesn’t hold poses so well in comparison, and No. 8 is one of shf’s better offerings with some really nice hidden articulation points and engineering. Face DLC is annoying, but the only one you really need is Reno’s.

I have the McFarlane Ichigo and Yhwach if anyone is interested in some pics. TLDR review I think Todd cooked pretty decently with them. The cloth goods on Ichigo are done a lot better than the Dasin and while Yhwach's cape isn't wired it at least drapes pretty well. Ichigo is also the same height as the Dasin so he fits in well with the other Dasin Bleach stuff.

It’s weird. Particularly with the new Naruto line it looks like they sort of leaned into the Anime Heroes line. The plastic quality is softer and the aesthetic is more cartoony. But overall they are still practically the exact same figures they were 15 years ago

Kind of reminds me of Marvel Legends in that they figured out what works and and have been coasting on that for a decade with very little innovation. The elbow joints literally haven’t changed since the dawn of the line. They definitely could have cleaned them up by now. They have figured out some more creative joint cuts, but that’s about it.

The KO's are ok. The Yujiro is certainly better than the Baki that has an awful face. Bootleg culture seems to have really taken off recently. I can't be mad seeing as the cost of living has got a lot of people hard up and Chinese factory workers are taking advantage of a growing demand for cheaper imitations. My only concern is if the official manufactures stop producing figures due to poor sales, the bootleggers don't have anything to copy, so it kills the entire market.

Well they re-released luffy, sabo, ace and mihawk last year, and then they are did nami and chopper this year along with variant hancock, luffy and shanks with soft goods. Pretty sure sanji and zoro were re-release the year before last.
So yeah, law, robin and usopp should get a re-release soon and we'll have to see if they decide to do perona, crocodile, newgate or lucci.
Personally I just got croc and Newgate and am waiting on figuarts to do the rest as they are better quality and scale.
