Even though most of them are assholes and they probably screw over many people, the sharks on tv are right when they hone in on people with good ideas and whether they have trademarks, service marks and even utility patents. And even with patents, and even with China getting to 'join' the rest of the global community in the 1980s, they obviously still don't give two fucks about whether they rip off or steal actual products, or business secrets, industrial secrets, military secrets or whatever else they think will benefit them.
