>>11273644>must've been really suffering then. You're like my niece telling me of how hellish the world used to be, when i told her I didn't have instant access to the internet on my smartphones on walks to the park in the 80s.
If you grow up without that shit, there's nothing to really miss. When a single toy or toyline has those features, you really treasure it, because understand it's not a common thing. Not everyday can be a day at Disneyland.
People today are spoiled that every toyline can be that way now. And i think that's what made me even more selective now, because we've already seen the highest of highs, and now toylines have been cutting back on features.
So when i see features being cut, i think: I'm not getting that new low budget toy. I'll wait until we get a proper toy made.
And maybe that "proper" toy will never get made anymore. 20-30 years ago i'd be rushing to give them all my money, but today, "Meh...i can go without."
>>11273819I was on AOL in the 90s. I remember forums and chat rooms, plus newsgroups and irc from back then. Chats were more active back then and feedback was basically instant.
I never liked the Transfag communities even back then, but yeah, Jetfire was popular, but not because he was actually Jetfire. Most discussion was about Beast Wars, with G1/G2 shit having its niche. Those fucks are like Jews, who get bullied, that no one can ever really get rid of, and build their own fortified havens to have a long lasting community.
