>>11271612>anybody got experience with them and would you recommend to buy one?Hi, 3d designer here, most resin printers work the same and even use the same parts, I recommend an elegoo or anycubic one tho, big brands will give you better support and their replacement parts easier to get.
Things you need to know about resin printers:
-Most resins are toxic to touch, you need to wear gloves and a mask during the preparation and post procesing of parts.
- Always go with tough or abs resins for toy parts.
-Resin printers are vampires, keep them away fom sunlight.
-When swaping your fep film (clear plastic under the resin tank) after 20 or so prints, remove the protecting plastic from both sides, this is a common mistake.
-You can recycle your post procesing alcohol filtering with coffe filters, might be able to use it twice or trice.
-Don't throw the dirty post procesing alcohol to the drain, let it evaporate in a plastic vase, after a few prints that vase will form the forbiden cheese from the extra resin taken out of your prints, let it dry under the sun or uv light, then trow it to the trash.
Extra bs you need for a resin printer:
- A silicone oven mat with rised edges to sit your printer on, when spills happen (they will happen eventually) the resin won't run to your floor.
-An Ipad screen protector to put over your printer lcd (the light under the resin tank) it will protect the screen from resin spills.
- A cheap UV light to make your own curring chamber (cardboard box with tinfoil on its inner walls) you can find tutorials on youtube.
