ITT: Playsets you own, want, or had as a kid. Honestly always wanted this Peewee's Playhouse set. Saw it sitting in a comic shop when I was a kid for like $50, then as I got older I steadily saw the price rise and am practically frothing over the thing but have no room. It's really cool that it kinda scales to 1/12.

Kenner Batcave is one that got a TON of playtime and a lotta love from me and my toys. Would pretend that it was a spot for my other superheroes to hang out at. I wasn't quite this version of it, but they released it in several different color schemes

This was the stage for so many of my adventures as a kid. I also had the pirate ship from the same line. As of today, I just don't have much space for playsets, though I've been tempted by some like the Lori Loft.

Fisher Price Great Adventures was so fucking awesome. I had the spaceship from the early 2000s and used to just use old toyboz Iron Man figures and Power Rangers to pretend they were astronauts and go on many space adventures. Used to draw backgrounds on paper to have it land on different planets.

I had both of these, they were pretty fantastic. The textures and painted elements were something that I took for granted, it was pretty nice. The car had many ridiculous features, including but not limited to a spring loaded catapult spoiler, chained tires that weren't just molded on, chain seatbelts (you know those didn't last long with kids) little buckles to clip them into the car seat, side compartments for projectiles or contraband and a mother fucking gatling gun for an engine block with telescoping barrels. Spawn knew how to live.

The playset was wonderful to play with just about any figure, but it took up such a large footprint I eventually had to get rid of it because my parents wanted me to make room for new playsets. I kinda wish I kept it, would be a great piece for photography.

It was the bicycle from the movie, a Pee Wee figure, with helmet.
I've never seen it since, on secondary markets and a quick browser search didn't cough it up, but when I had a big house party one year, someone asshat who was in my bedroom took the helmet.
I was so fucking annoyed.

Spawn Alley works so well for current 1:18 figures, and a garage like that is such a rare backdrop to use with figures.

I got a whole pile of playsets to use for 1:18 stuff, I just literally don't have the room to enjoy em right now.

That was a cool set. I had the pirate ship via my grandparents and the western town as a Santa gift. Both were great, but the western town was more my favorite as I've always preferred the Wild West.

I was going to post the magic castle one with the lion head. That was THE playset I had growing up. I just had to have all the extra mini sets for it too. Me and my cousin loved it so much I would even bring the whole set over to his house for overnights.

I got it for Christmas as a kid and it wasn't worth it at all. The cardboard was really flimsy and couldn't hold the weight of the plastic pieces. My mom tried to hotglue the card board to the plastic but it still would collapse under the weight of the upper level. My mom ended up returning it and I got one of the role play weapons instead. Find a better grail bro you don't want to spend good money on that piece of shit and be let down.

That's the problem with most of the playsets. Commercials and images make them look amazing but out of the box and without the extra stuff art departments add in the commercials, you normally end up with two to three pieces of plastic and some cardboard that makes a bland piece of a house.

Snake Mountain and Castle Greyskull were the only ones that were pleasing, and fairly sturdy.

I gotta disagree. In the 80s alone there are a lot of wonderful GI Joe playsets, the Ghostbusters Firehouse and the Police Academy set the other anon posted, the Kenner Hall of Justice, the 80s Toybiz Batcave was pretty good despite having a cardboard backing, the Thundercats lair was pretty good too.

Ghostbusters firehouse had the spinning pole, roof smile-jizz vent and was 3 stories tall.
