>>11278589>>11278462>>11278497I have the worst QC luck on earth so I feel like I can speak to this.
Magmatron has very few QC issues. Bent sword here or there depending on the temp of the storage he was sitting in while being shipped or stored away. Can be fixed by boiling water. Dunno if I'd use a heat gun because it might damage the paint. My copy had sort of a loose elbow in robot mode which I fixed by wedging something behind the "tooth" of the ratchet which made it tighter. I also had a paint splotch thing on one of his silver toes. Another thing about the silver paint, it's very easy to chip/scrape off I think. Also I think the gold crest of his robot head can rub up on the inside of the flyer guy's tummy causing a few little blemishes, but it's still fine. I didn't have any stressing issues on my copy and I usually learn that the hard way.
Trypticon was SUPPOSEDLY fixed mid-wave he was released in, so that would carry over here. We don't know if anything new was introduced just yet, but I'm sure there will be posts about it the second this Gen Selects gets to peoples' hands. I imagine at worst, somehow the old problem will return. Or paint QC issues since they're not using stickers anymore and it looks like he has a few applications of paint where joints are. Time will tell.
And I know this was just something someone brought up as an example, but Tidal Wave's knees MIGHT have somehow been fixed in later copies. I know I returned my Tidal Wave because the Decepticon logo was not lining up at all on the aircraft carrier (I know that sounds autistic to send back, but it was 200 dollars, I demand better). The copy I got back didn't have knee stress, but I printed out little pieces to stick in between the tabs of where the gear slots in and it should be good and sturdy now. It's sad that like .002 cents of plastic fixes this issue. Just goes to show how much of a fucking afterthought this Titan was.
