i want the industry to get to a point where components and electronics for toys are so inexpensive to make that advanced robotic figures like like this aren't just commonplace but cost no more than $50 each

The problem here is no one here really wants this, most people here probably don't even want electronics in their figures, they want maximum articulation
So these electronic figures are all aimed at casuals with more money than sense who are impressed with relatively advanced but ultimately limited mechanics.

Those things are actually useless as statues, once they power themselves off they literally go limp and can't even stand up anymore. The only thing they're actually good for is getting crowds at a store or con display, as they're not actually fun to play with and can't even display well as they have limited battery life.

I don't mind cool lights or unobtrusive sounds or some sort of actually fun motorized gimmick. I just need it to be a good toy first and foremost before you start adding in the bells and whistles.
