Beyond has a lot of characters who don't have figures so if the leak is real I could see them trying to do figures for all the villains in order to bring in animated series collectors. BTAS, STAS, and JL/JLU all had vast lines that covered all the major characters (except like Granny Goodness and 2/3rds of the Furies) and then some. Meanwhile a Beyond line could give us Zeta, Shriek, Spellbinder, and so much more.

Yes and no; they were mass produced but at the last minute Mattel killed the Total Justice line because fuck you that's why.

The backlash was so great that they resurrected the line as a Toys R US exclusive line under the JLA branding, where they FINALLY put out a Wonder Woman figure pulse a Red Tornado, Superboy, Impulse, Zariel, and Lex Luther figure along with evil hologram versions of the Morrison JLA from Rock of Ages

Mattel meanwhile kept a warehouse full of the unreleased wave 3 and finally made a deal with several online/mail order toy sites to sell them the unreleased wave three figures. Which in turn quickly sold out and inspired Mattel to release two box sets directly to consumers via diamond/comic shops that featured gimmick armor versions of Kyle Raynor and Flash along with Blue Beetle and Dr Polaris, as the four were supposed to be wave four of the line.

It’s toss up between Batman and Robin and Dark Knight Rises for me. I still enjoy Batman and Robin for what it is but it took it too far into the obvious toy commercial territory and George sucked as Batman/Bruce. It also did Bane dirty, he looked cool but the whole mindless thing sucks. Dark Knight Rises feels like weird panic response to Heath dying which I’m sure it was. So they tried linking it back to Begins which works in some aspects and fails in others. Also doing Bane kinda dirty again. Personality wise he was kinda there but the dumb gas mask thing still sucks. The whole Tale of Two Cities thing was an odd choice, the whole Blake(robin) thing was stupid. Just an all around odd sequel and finale to the series.

You can buy 3rd party stands. Todd wont mind if you buy more superman figures but you can buy black market stands that will support your mcfarlane figures. I just steal the blister card from every figure i find, its not as hard as stealing the boxed figure itself so i get caught shoplifting less often than usual.

Firebolt Batman has a more screen accurate sculpt so hoping they use that as a base i guess, though id really hope for a entire rework the early keaton batmen never looked right

I can't imagine how hard it must be to build this thing without just going on ebay and paying 200 bucks. i dont think it was a domestic release, my grandma got it at a super mall around 2008 (could be TDK related). Was slightly better than marvel legends articulation at the time with a giant cloth cape.
it was closer to 6 inch too but a little smaller than the generic "batman" line that was around at the time, no its not movie masters btw i looked at all of them
