I left the dress on the "Mistress of Dragons" as I couldn't find any of my others of her and the torso stuck.

If they kept MEGA as it is except for throwing in a LEGO stamp on the figures or bases then they should be okay.
The little Minion is great!
I mean he's all dressed up as a kind of generic explorer.
I use a Grey I have modded slightly a lot as well.
He's always taking selfies.
At 1/18 my go-to is a Shipwreck with a Duke body. He's a good generic S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and general wilderness explorer.

It was fun to try and get those mystery chase figs back in the day through code-reading, when one could still find the darn things on the shelves. Not all of pic related were chase of course; several of the clear active-camo figs were included in various sets to recreate that aspect of the games. It really felt like Mega had at least a few people who understood how to bring out the Halo feel in their toys, even with fun little details like the gold 1 stud piece in the Snowbound battlescape, something an outsider will be clueless about but Halo 3 multiplayer veterans will find endearing.

It's a Cyclops from Halo Wars, they made quite a few of them in that first design, then a few more of the Halo Wars 2 version. The Cyclops was teased as part of the large Firebase set that was ultimately never released, though we got the vehicles and some of the Firebase components in other sets.

Feel that way sometimes about the WoW line, had zero interest at the time and it's still not a huge draw for me, some good parts and stuff in them though. Was on a much tighter budget too so Halo took precedence, still regret that I missed out on the ODST Scorpion and Hawk sets.

If I had know about the dark times ahead I would have bought dupes of absolutely everything I had, especially the MCX heroes. The regret I feel over passing up the T800 is soul crushing, but that's just a drop in the bucket compared to the eternal hell I put myself in by selling off my classic tmnt collection at the peak of covid.

I believe that halo mega is not dead at all, but that mega, the branch of Mattel, is now defunct. Here are my reasons.

The big one is Lego’s new deal with Nintendo. We all know about the announcement of LEGO making gameboy and switch model sets later this year, and they have hinted at a larger brand deal with more licenses in the works. This was likely signed close to a year ago. While this is not confirmed, I can assume that brand deal may have included Pokemon. This is speculation, but makes sense given the evidence.

Mega laid off most of their staff almost a year ago. Likely when they found out they might be losing Pokémon. This is around the same time the community managers disappeared, Kevin stopped replying in the Discords, The Domain started being in the dark, QR Codes didnt work on new boxes, and Mega websites were being pulled down. That’s a big one. What active company would pull their websites offline? One that is dying.

All of this likely happened in response of them possibly losing the Pokémon license, their flagship IP. So they cut down the team to as small as possible. They lost funding from Mattel, and they just weren’t able to reveal or release things promised. Kevin kept promising the Fall line would be revealed up until February 2024, then not another word. Likely around the time the Nintendo deal was signed with LEGO. The Firebase and fireteam sets were likely canceled to pour more funding into new IPs to gain more fans and try to save the brand. Like Fallout and Skyrim.

A big nail in the coffin for me is the leaked Original Xbox set. This was a big deal, and should have released last year. Mega stated in 2023 that the Xbox 360 was one of their best selling sets ever. They wouldn’t cancel the Original Xbox set last year… unless they had to because the company was dying. I think it’s honestly done. Maybe Mattel can resurrect it in the future, but for now I think it’s done.

There are no rumors of 2025 sets. None. Not even Pokémon. The websites are gone. The community managers are gone. What do we have left to hold on to? I think the websites should have been a more obvious sign to us. Mega is dead. Thoughts?

All bricks will say mattel on them now

Its because Mega brand has a bad history of "bad quality" that stayed with consumers so they decided to stop using it.

Because mega managed to really earn that perception for poor quality in the mid 2000s, and I don't think they were ever able to fully escape it.
