NTA, but key words there are 'tends to'. Their reptilian paleo figures are so hit or miss on sculpt designs. There's been at least 3 different allosauruses over the last 15 years and they did NOT get better each time, the second most recent was a step backwards in design but the recent one is at least an improvement. Moros intrepidus's legs are fucked to hell, the giganotosauruses are all ass, Therizosaurus looks like a Hork-Bajir from the animorphs book series (but without the extra blades), and Utahraptor had a soft doughy sculpt.

And yet, we got the inaccurate but beautifully sculpted Dunkleosteus, a lovely mammoth, a badass kaprosuchus, and a postosuchus that looks more accurate than any other out there (though still not perfect).

but why buy trash at all? rebor, eofauna, tng, haolonggood. those are all great quality for a good price. you can find tng and haolonggood on aliexpress. haolonggood has recently been killing it.

i recommend the blue haolonggood triceratops, the upcoming kiss island variant t.rex from rebor, and the red alamosaurus from haolonggood. i have all of these except the rex. i have the regular kiss variant but the kiss island is on preorder. it has a more natural coloring. if you can find it, the rebor t.rex bases to put the rex and trike on. the long neck comes with a base

The idea of it, to be fair, is fucking creepy. If they were to lean more into the horror elements rather than the more adventure-y side of things I think it would be a hit. All of the Dinos weren't necessarily legit dinosaurs, they're really just the closest approximation they could get to through DNA splicing and tampering. The movie might end up being garbage, but the elements were there to make a creepy fucking mutant creature and a decent movie.

I would just go hammond collection unless you think they're too big or they haven't made the species you want. They're good quality out of the box but you can make them look exceptional with a few small things like dry brushing.

The head looks like the Kenner Coelophysis. I like the design but yeah, it's definitely not accurate to the game. The feet look a little too big and the tail needs to be longer too. Needs the red on the neck like the first Troodon they released.

The molds more often than not are pretty solid with the paint jobs tending towards 50/50.
If they go for realistic based on the movies they tend to kinda half ass it but if they go for more insane color schemes they look great.
Their main weakness tends to be the feet (mostly of the predators) and the teeth but it's understandable considering they have to think of the children first.

Only real competition they have at this point is Nanmu who is knocking it out of the park granted for a higher price point.
Seriously wanna see them do the Indominus or Indoraptor after just getting the JP3 raptors.

I'd wager to guess that because it is a larger sized figure they budgeted less towards the paint apps. I'd argue that Toothless looks just as bad because it looks less detailed while the other two have paint apps that seem to bring out the sculpt details better.

yeah so its the Velociraptor tiger, wich means its the JP:TLW ones right? because one of the atrociraptors was also named tiger.

also the new velociraptor from rebirth got a decent looking mainline figure coming. (pic related) tobad its planned for fall

also saw some new mini playsets (one shows the d-rex) and some new roleplay masks and claws.
