I don't like the partsforming crotch at all but at the very least it makes for more stability/ articulation and better proportions in combined mode.

Metal bullet his metal skin, it's like shooting someone with a chunk of meat at high velocity. It's damaging sure, and shooting 6 times as much would hit them a lot more, but combining and being strong enough to just toss your enemies around is much better. Not to mention the firepower is usually combined, so it's more like firing a high powered firehose. That's enough to tear a man's skin right off.

Supposedly, the hinges on the legs were too thin, and shaving some of the bumps on the legs would help preserve them longer, you also couldn't move the rubbery tip of the wing so it was best to leave it spread for bat mode. I did the mods on mine and I transform them every few months, both are still fine. A bit more worried about Weirdwolf, he hasn't had any breakage (modded his torso connection a bit) it's terrifying to transform it.

They will probably make the boat deck her back and make her torso a straight block and shrink her hips, all but making her a dude. Then sell a repaint as a dude to walmart as an exclusive.

You're either blind or trolling. First, that's a normal, healthy Great White - I'm guessing you're not used to seeing them from profile view, since most pictures like to show them at 2/3 view swimming towards the camera to show off their teeth. Second, both sharks there have necks - all sharks literally have a skull, several neck vertebrae, and shoulders, though a Bull Shark tends to be a bit stubbier while a Great White is built more like a torpedo. Your little doodling on the pictures accomplished nothing regardless, because the new Sky-Byte looks like the bottom image and is now anatomically correct; his old one had his fins coming out of his larynx.

I think you're both confused
1) fish don't have necks by definition. If they grow a neck, they can't be called fish anymore, scientifically.
2)Like we have ribcages, fish have gilcages, bony structures that protect their breathing aparatus. Unlike in humans, theres is ABOVE the shoulders, which is what prevents that area from being called a neck.
2) those exposed "rib" like segments on skybyte are just exposed panels, nothing more. Not part of ribs, or gills, or anything.

Hasbro has a wave with G1 Megatron, Tracks, Dino Grimlock, and Bludgeon for sale for about $86. Really want a proper G1 Megatron since any Studio Series 86 Movie version will be a newer garbage tank mode Megatron along with the fact that Hasbro's various attempts to update Bludgeon have all produced garbage figures that don't even resemble Bludgeon.

Are they any good?

Super7 Transformers figures are decent for what they are, IE 7 inch non-transforming figures.

I have some of that wave. Megatron's pretty cool though I should note that Super7 is releasing a reduced price version of him in a VHS inspired box that is lacking most of the figure's accessories for about $35 instead of the usual $55.

Bludgeon's pretty good and quite frankly, if you must have a Bludgeon, he's the best of the lot since he actually looks like Bludgeon in the comics.

That said, the real winner of the line is the T-Rex Grimlock. The cartoon version of the Dinosaur mode is superior to the toy version and he's a fun figure to fiddle with.

If you are not even watch it why care? and I think most phase out of this hobby, I'm over 50 years old and I've watch people dip out through the years and it was either due to what they see as bad practices such as G1 to G2, RiD to Armada, Prime/T30 to CW/RiD15 etc or to how distribution changes like in the 90s~00s where toy stores shrank in selections (or just closed) while big box store departments grew in toy selections and it was a bit spicy then with collectors at that time, after that it went into digital stores/ordering on-line and now the latest controversy is the made to order stuff like Haslabs. In the end most people that collect in these hobbies at best ebb and flow with them and at worse just bail on the hobby.

You know what always pissed me off? SS Rampage is one of my favorite figures from the whole line, but his vehicle mode has this stupid ugly square of plastic right in the middle of his blade. All it does is raise and lower the front wheel by a 16th of an inch. What the hell was the point of this? Why couldn't they just give the blade a completely smooth surface? The moving wheel doesn't even do anything, so why did they do this? I always thought it would do something on devastator, but nope, it's completely useless. What the hell is up with this?

Got something pretty neat in today; Universe Heavy Load and Drillbit!
Vehicle mode is awesome. Big, chunky, solid, nicely detailed and cool looking. Classic UT era goodness. The back is a touch abstract but I can forgive it because unlike the vast majority of cement mixer TFs, the barrel can spin!
The Minicon is pretty good too, I have a soft spot for those sorts of clearly fictional yet cohesive altmodes.

Transformation is a breeze and robot mode is very good. Definitely has some annoying parts by virtue of being a nearly two decade old design, notably the fist, but on the whole he's aged incredibly. No obvious missing bits of articulation (he even has ankle rockers!) and the cement barrel cannon arm isn't anywhere near as clunky as you might think. I like the cyber key gimmick too, it's pretty clever.
The Minicon also looks great, I like his Constructicon colours, and the robot mode is a neat little robo-critter rather than just being a generic humanoid.
Only thing I don't like about 'em is nothing to do with the toys, it's the names. They're very generic. So I came up with my own (along with bios):
>Spindoctor showed immense talent in Decepticon military academy, with a keen understanding of intelligence and the effects of propaganda and morale on both the enemy and the Decepticons themselves. Unfortunately, despite being poised to go into Kaon's top brass as an infosec officer, a lazy pencil-pusher saw his name and had him assigned and rebuilt as a field medic, despite having almost zero knowledge of repair work. Despite being equipped with a programmable nanobot goo launcher as his right arm, he's a bit of a rubbish surgeon and mostly leaves the actual medicine to his Minicon partner Organgrinder, with his most vital contributions to injured 'cons being his remarkable ability to push any situation as positive; his training in propaganda allowing him to maintain a cheerful demeanour and keep his patients upbeat even after having multiple limbs blown off. Organgrinder for his part is a rare example of a Decepticon medic who isn't a sadist, insane or incompetent, and is far better equipped to do repairs than his bigger partner, though his small size and unusual body plan somewhat diminishes his effectiveness. Nevertheless he does appreciate Spindoctor's presence, both for the comfort he gives his patients and his size offering good protection in combat.

He transforms into a Ford Pinto. Honestly, Devil's Due's crossovers are my favorite of the crossovers because it feels like the people writing it actually want to write and like GI Joe and Transformers, while keeping the plot somewhat coherent

Posting Liokaiser info and some answers to stuff asked around:

-7 voyager figures (they do seem chunky enough, but I know many will say they're deluxes)
-7 Breast animals (battle masters)
-For the Electro Magnetic Nunchaku, you get 6 poles, 6 spear tips, and 4 chain pieces. Due to their size, the members can't use the nunchaku like in the show, since just a pole with a spear tip is as big as big as one of the members. Note that the typical configuration in the anime was two spear tipped poles connected by a chain. Deathcobra is left without a spear.
-Multi piece stand (3 parts) that works for the breastforce members, Liokaiser and can serve to store accesories.
-The pelvis is a separate piece that attaches to Jaruga in Buggy mode (looks goofy as hell though.
-All members and Liokaiser get a waist swivel or a mid torso swivel, no idea if some of these will be limited by design.

Personal gripes I have with the set so far:

-Many characters have tiny heads. You'd think they would at least have some parts collapse into the head, or swing backwards so we didn't have to deal with this again, it's as bad as King Poseidon.
-Not giving everyone SS86 Hot Rod hand storage.
-No smaller nunchaku for the set (expected after the size issues with Star Saber, but still).
-jaruga not getting a flap to cover the head, or a spring gimmick in thr chest to cover the giant hole Iif you deploy his animal.

The original toy had exactly that, a shame they cheaped out because he really needs it.

As for the small heads, only Leozack bothers me. It looks like it's from another smaller toy, the fact it has a bit of neck sculpted under the jaw and it's floating over the ball joint peg without touching the torso doesn't help.

The thighs are longer than they look, the knee joint is inside the orange-yellow part, so he actually doesn't suffer too badly from all-shins-no-thighs like a lot of figures. Torso is definitely big though.

Been watching an episode or two of Car Robots a night after having seen it as Robots in Disguise as a kid. Wasn't really sure what to expect since it's been such a long time but that show really is a surprisngly good time and i was not expecting to enjoy it as much as I have been. I'm a little over halfway through but Gel Shark and his crew really steal the show for me. It's no wonder he's the series' break-out character.

Fiddled with the transformation and figure a bit. The Star Wars Transformers wish they were this guy. Everything pegs together pretty solidly in robot mode. If anything, his shoulders a bit too stiff, but everything feels tight except for his hips (not loose, just not as tight as everything else). No real egregious hollowness, just the back of the legs near the knees, which in turn can get you a beyond 90 double bend if you want to use the transformation hinges. Disappointingly the cape is a nonstandard peg, and I have no idea what if anything to do with the part that it wrapped around when it was the display stand. The extra blue blast effects are nice, but his non-standard "thrust" ones might not be as easy to play around with for anything beyond their intended role for ship mode. The extra bubble drone thing is cute but I don't get it. Feels like they could have made a tab or slot or something so he could mount it in robot mode for something, as it is it just becomes an extra piece of parts you remove for transformation. Overall both modes prioritize cool looks, and I just know those shoulder spires will get in the way with those wings on his back. Still, I was expecting a lot worse.

In Star Wars lore, it's supposed to be where the astromech droid goes; Mando had it removed (no idea how he calculates hyperspace jumps on his own now) to fit a chair for baby Yoda. Since there's no one sitting in either the cockpit or the new seat on the toy, it's going to look empty.

The instructions say to use the flight stand for it, including one of the two thrust blast effect pieces, but that means the big guy doesn't get his cape and shield. Still, the bottom's 5mm peghole so any other compatible stand could probably make him a little flying drone partner. Only other accessory grievance is his tail piece/"gun" partsforming is on Beast Wars Tail Weapon levels of "seriously, that's your best?" At least it has a hinge to make it look different, with a visible gunbarrel underneath.

Well, in ship mode it's the seat where Grogu goes, but in robot mode it's intended to be Grogu's hover-cradle, which is usually seen following Din Djarin ("Mando") around, see pic related; the cradle on the show closes up and ends up somewhat resembling the drone included with the toy.

Made it home, and finally got a chance to actually open and look at this guy. It seems another anon already did a review of him, but didn't take any pictures; I'll just keep my own review brief. Pardon the shitty lighting in my pics - it's past midnight here.
Anyway, spaceship mode. For those who aren't Star Wars fans, this is an N1 "Naboo" Starfighter, a (normally) single-person short-range fighter Din (the Mandalorian) obtained in The Book of Boba Fett between seasons of his own show. I'm a little disappointed it wasn't his original ship, the ST-70 Razorcrest, but it is what it is. It's still a pretty faithful representation of the specific N1 he got as a replacement for the Razorcrest, including the tacked-on Hyperdrive module and the removed Astromech port that has been replaced by a seat and dome for a single passenger (Grogu, aka 'Baby Yoda'). It comes with multiple blast effects (two of which can be attached to the main cannons or to the backs of the thrusters as I have them positioned here), as well as a cool stand with Dinn's Mudhorn emblem engraved on it.

Robot mode. There's a bit of partsforming here that I don't recall seeing advertised - the passenger pod needs to be removed to enable the transformation and cannot be stored on him. Fortunately, the pod itself is designed to act as a sort of drone, and seems to be modeled after Grogu's hover-cradle from the show; for better or worse, there's no mini Grogu-bot to ride inside it. Undocumented in the instructions but shown on the box and in promo shots, part of the stand detaches and unfolds into Din's cape, which mounts to his back. The actual robot is pretty nice - as the other anon mentioned, everything holds together pretty snugly, he's got rotating wrists and ankle-rockers, and his broad chestplate isn't as restrictive as it looks. His shoulders also have good articulation, and the wings on his back can be moved to increase his range of motion, so this guy has no problem getting into and holding a pose.
His right hip includes a sculpted-on holster for his signature IB-94 blaster pistol, which can remain stowed inside even in vehicle mode; the four Proton Torpedo tubes that were mounted to his engines in vehicle mode are now on his wrists and represent his Whistling Bird portable missile launcher and flamethrower, and the long spire from the back of the fighter becomes what I'm assuming is intended to be his Amban phase-pulse blaster disintegration rifle, though it doesn't really look too much like it.

Another undocumented feature that's shown on the box and in promo pics- the base of his stand can be attached to his wrist to act as a shield (which makes the cool Mudhorn skull emblem much more visible). It's not something he actually had on the show, but it's still pretty neat, although it means the Grogu Pod has nowhere to attach to when he's using it. I slightly mistransformed the disintegration rifle here, as I didn't realize the joint could be pushed further back so that it snaps in place; again, it doesn't really look like the actual weapon from the show, but there's nothing else it could possibly be. Transforming the rifle back into its spike form, you can have him use it like a lance (again, not something he had on the show - but he DID have a spear for a while).

He's fun, and definitely far better than any of the previous Star Wars crossover transformers from the past (which I never owned, but knew some people who did). Probably the best part of this guy is that, unlike the Yoda, Luke and Han ones, Mando here is wearing a helmet, so you can pretend he's just a giant robot shaped like a Mandalorian warrior instead of him being literally Din Djarin as a Transformer. While I still would have liked his alt mode to be the Razorcrest as a matter of personal preference and somewhere to stow the Grogu Pod, he's still a neat 'bot with a lot of little nods to the show built into him and a cool gimmick of integrating his stand into him in several different ways, even if it is technically partsforming. I'd say he's worth getting even if you're not a fan of The Mandalorian (or Star Wars in general).

Nah, it added to the problems, but it had more. Even the initial design had wonky proportions and other issues that no budget could fix, it basically needed a different design. The HM design streamlines a few details and significantly improves the design and we know it can work because they used it for a 3rd party toy and it wasn't even that complex, you could take that and simplify it enough for a deluxe.

I also did it as a roundabout reference, since Cybertron Smokescreen had a head based on Rad, in this case Rad's head, with his helmet and visor, would resemble what Smokescreen would have looked like if he had been in Animated as a Prowl retool, so you can repurpose the toy as either, just like the Cybertron toy

Man, I forgot how awful Star Saber's knee ratchets were. The whit plastic just bends instantly since the red ratchet piece is sturdier, so the legs are barely capable of posing after, but don't ever pose then if you turn him into Victory Saber, the knees give way immidiately. I wish someone could make a replacement piece.

I played with mine for an hour or so for a week, and by then I noticed the legs didn't click in to place as smoothly. It can still hold poses as Star Saber, but it honestly feels like he can topple over if I bump in to it. Meanwhile, he can stand ad Victory Saber, but he buckles if you try moving his knees too much. It's even worse with the stand, any dynamic pose with the legs would have the knees buckling instantly. A few other ratcheted toys have similar issues, but they don't have to bare so much tension by comparison, so they can still pose well. The hips are much better by comparison, they don't feel any worse after all this time and it bothers me the same care wasn't applied to the knees.

Victory Saber had so many issues, I'm glad they seemed to realize this themselves and tried to fix what they could. I have gripes about Deathsaurus, but it's a rock solid toy, and it was almost flawless, the only issue being the breast animal chromed spikes falling over easily due to a weak connection.
