I don't recall if Hasbro ever changed anything between the prototype vs the final product besides colors- never the mold.
As for Lokaiser, I think people just have a lot of “doubts” (if that is the right term to be used here)
With Star Saber and deathsaurus, what were shown were pretty much what people were expecting in their imagination.
For Liokaiser it seemed to be a jack of all trade and master at none problem.
All the issues with individual bots shouldn't be there at all (for a so-called super premium HASLAB). But you say: the bot issues are there for combination reason! But the combine mode is like not even 9/10, it is like 8/10 at best.
If they did the combine mode without any outside part, being 8/10, people would probably give them a break, but it needs a huge waist part ($300 for a part former now). And another thing is a lot of people don't like how tall the waist looks in bot mode.
If you still can't do the visual right with part forming, why don’t just go all the way like what Iron Factory did? You can't have it both ways here.
And another thing is, if Hasbro can solve all the problems people have with the figure, would people be ok to pay more for it? $349? $400? I think people will, but it is not like Hasbro can announce the price hike right now.
At the moment, we are struck in this compromised position that a lot of people are happy getting the toy (as a idea), but not too satisfied with the end result (at least on surface).
Will Hasbro listen? Did they ever? Do they even need to listen considering just China itself pretty much fulfilled half of goal already? Can they even make any changes that can be presented between now to March?
