>>11353441Its a currently lucrative license that it about to get a bunch of orders thanks to the Superman movie, they're going to be able to ride out the next year and a half well, especially since fans are largely ok with reusing bodies for more basic costumes. Or even just reissuing/repainting existing rare figures.
Mattel will likely end up sitting on a bomb license once Superman 2025 almost certainly underperforms, and DC is stuck not knowing what to do next for years, no Batman movie until 2027 at BEST(looking like 2028 at this point at the earliest), and then no Green Lantern that would appeal for kids (old white man and zesty black guy will not get kids excited), no Flash, no Justice League, nothing. Honestly keeping it for another year and dumping it on Mattel on 2026 was great for Mcfarlane.
