I went to Target for the first time in over a year and didn't see these or any of the 4" Jakks figures besides Sonic and some 2.5" Sonic 3 multipacks. But the entire toy department had been absolutely gutted just like the last time I went. This is why I buy online...

OP, Metal Sonic is in wave 2 of the SEGA line. But it's hardly been found at retail at all outside of Canada. Walmart US had them listed on the site for one day only last fall and nothing since then. That line is separate from the normal Sonic lines, but it seems like there's a possibility for more IDW Sonic characters. But with how few stores are stocking Wave 2, I'm not sure the line will continue.

I haven't seen Metal Virus Sonic a single time here in the US, most of my WalMarts either have a shitload of AiAi on the shelf.
As for the Sonic side of things, I don't know if stores just aren't restocking, if Jakks isn't distributing well, or if people are buying tons of Sonic toys lately, because I pretty much never see anything besides 1 or 2 normal Sonics left over.

Without even watching the video I can tell it's made by an idiot. Thumbnail is misleading. Nobody is paying $200 for any Sonic figs, and def not a Sonic. Obviously the Mario line hasn't really had any new characters in the line in a long ass time either. That line is so close to death it may as well just end. There is almost no interest in that line now while the Sonic line has been giving many more unique and surprising characters.

And me personally am upset they made new figures of Super Monkey Ball, but it is just AiAi and its his new design. I get it, I really do- but we are getting older series like that, why not do the old AiAi too? Happy this line exists, but it really needs help with distribution (why does every Walmart have 10 of the same character?) and choose some more game series.

The Fang 2.5 inch had people going crazy on other sites because they would never stock it with the average ebay price being 100 at the start. I had to buy him 6 dollars over market price from someone claiming he was buying them in bulk to fight the scalpers. That thankfully calmed down a lot and it seems the 4 inch was made more available, but I still only ever found one at a store hidden behind some Sonics.

About $150 gets you a good resin printer these days

"Ink"? WTF. It's called resin. Liter size bottles of standard resins in a wide variety will be less than $20 each.

It's called stepping, and those are only really on filament prints form printers that use spools of plastic. Resin printers even on the basic settings don't really show the stepping. If you really don't want to see it, you just adjust the settings.

They're cool, but I really wish Sega didn't lean so heavily into Genesis nostalgia. People love the Dreamcast and the characters that debut/are known for the system. Beat, Ulala, Ryo, Vyse, hell even NiGHTS since the game's been labeled "Dreamcast" in those compilation titles.

Considering the other 2 playsets have a Superstars theme, it's just going to be "Silver Sonic" from Sonic 2 but larger, hell maybe JAKKS will be lazy and just bundle the 2.5 inch Sonic with the 4 inch Mecha Sonic kek

Overwatch is a dead franchise. No toy company is stupid enough to touch it with a ten foot pole after all the failed lines it's had. Jada also has 5-6" MegaMan locked down and sales aren't even great so I don't think that's a license Jakks would ever go for

Jakks already had the Mega Man license, but mostly for Fully Charged. I still think all but Ice Man were great Robot Master toys, they're even still slightly above MSRP at Amazon.
