Mezco is known for photoshopping their renders to the point that the figure can’t even do the poses shown in the promos so I’m going to wait until I see it inhand. Worst case example was Dr.Doom inability to do an arm cross

I'm pleased as punch they did this look first, lol. Dubious photoshopping aside, if this turns out to be a new buck no way the don't do other looks.
Mixed bag on accessories, but at least they didn't include a polystone cauldron to drive the price up an extra $50. Here's to hoping this doesn't turn into an '89 Batman rerun.

At least with this one we have seen a proper prototype on display, so we're not stuck with just the over-photoshopped promo images as the only pictures of the figure we have until release, like in the past.

Unless there’s some kind of ball duumbell under the shoulders, he probably can’t do any of the sword two hand promo pics shown. But yeah at least there’s a solid prototype so maybe they’re learning.

This one didn't even need photoshop, the right hand is visibly not even on the sword, the photo is just angled to give the impression. It's still edited for blood effects and shadow and all that, but the pose is blatantly something you can do for your own photo while the figure can't actually two hand the sword in that position. I could see it doing the over the head pose, possibly with the head not actually on the neck, but the low hold is absolutely edited bullshit if they haven't added pullout joints to the shoulders

Holding up very good. I have two of them. Haven't had any issues (just gotta remember to take off the blue shirt as soon as you get him so the ink doesn't stain the chest). They've been fun to mix and match parts around with (my main one always has the Mezco Death Dealer head and harness on).

Is Mezco's 1/12 scale anything like Neca's 7 inch? How does it compare to an average SHF, figma, etc.? Thinking of getting this to mod for his tree of woe appearance.

Mezco are 6" figures, but due to the proportions, head size and soft goods, tend not to mesh well with other stuff. Too short for most NECA, too large for most imports, imo. I think the Mezco Conan figs have been a tiny bit shorter, so they might work with other lines more readily.
I should have put a NECA in this shot, but I don't have any out, currently.

So my waitlist converted for The Blank figure and on 3/7 I got an email that it was getting processed on 3/10. On 3/10, I was fully charged for the order. Didn’t hear anything about shipping. Today, I get an email saying that the order is processing again tomorrow on 3/18 and to have funds available? I already got charged for this, why are they trying to process it again?

Just minor changes, but I prefer the "Warrior" version's helmet and straight sword. The default helmet, although iconic, looks like a party punch bowl.

I like the idea of the accessories Mezco's come with but two of those three head sculpts are essentially identical, and in that regard, pointless. Also, for someone like Conan, that amount of extra hands is also pointless, whereas additional weapons would not have been. A fucking shield would be an easy and obvious add, for example.

I’m waiting on this one personally. According to the instagram post it will have double jointed knees and elbows and be around the same height as a mythic legion. This new line will feature other REH characters as well as army builders.

I think this one is a bit better since it is very clearly based on specific paintings where the mezco one is sort of a generic version. How much that matters to you probably depends how big a Conan fan you are though, it’s otherwise not going to be a huge upgrade other than the skin being fully painted.

Nope, the Mezco one is also based on Frazetta and captures the paintings much better than this one. It's just too short. And I doubt the skin will be fully painted, it isn't on Norseman nor Darkwolf, it's mostly just shading.
