I'm not surprised if an expensive figure is well made. When a cheap one is? I find that far more interesting. What are some figures that you feel are inexpensive that were really good? I'm talking initial msrp, not aftermarket prices.

This Beelezebumon for instance wasn't that expensive. Admittedly I don't recall what the price was but I know it wasn't very expensive, and as of right now on Amazon he's like 10 bucks. The bike he's on was also on clearance.
