Like, they were all hired and work in his cabinet pulling apart everything to make sure no one touches their fortunes. He is correct that this tanking of the economy is happening on purpose, but not because it's some brilliant 4d chess move to make the rich "pay their share", but it's being done to kill off smaller competitors and make it easier for the rich to obtain even more wealth as smaller companies sell themselves off at lower prices. See the current state of the USPS or how they suggested all the fired federal workers should move to the private sector, where they'll work just as hard but get a fraction of the benefits.
Smaller toy companies, shops and importers will be hit hard and have no choice but to pass off that extra cost to customers, who will not want to pay more for their action figures and collectibles. Larger toy companies like Hasbro and Mattel can eat the costs easier, but they too will raise their prices. There is no coming down from this, and their is no moving toy manufacturing to America as the tariffs will still be the cheaper option for toy companies. All this does is hurt small business, lower income collectors and every day people.
Though it does explain why the newest Classified figures were so much more expensive on BBTS then they were on Pulse. Usually it's only a dollar difference, this time it was like $5 a pop, and that adds up when you're buying half a dozen figures.
