>>11379157Are you STILL pissing on? Firstly the He-Man figures you posted are almost 20 years old, the line itself ended almost 10 years ago. Secondly the gaudy colours are THE POINT of that line, because they're based on a colourful cartoon. Thirdly several of those figures feature washes and drybrushing. Fucking Mer-man is right in the centre of the image and has a wash.
Yes Mattel re-used bodies, and they still do, but they've also come a damn long way since 2018.
I like McFarlane's DC figures, I appreciate that there is a lot of new sculpt with the figures, but McFarlane also re-uses bodies, even when the body doesn't suit the figure.
Also a serious issue with re-sculpting almost every new figure is how often proportions get fucked up, tiny heads, giant heads, huge hands, stupidly long legs, the same character varying wildly in height.
The diapers fucking suck and ruin hip articulation, either you can't move the legs for a prolonged period of time or you warp the diaper.
The articulation on a lot of the figures is very limited, and despite sculpting more detail into the wrist and ankle swivels they still look like shit, and on top of that are loose as fuck. You cannot put any of the figures in a dynamic pose without them falling over after a few days, even WITH the stands.
They don't scale with any other toyline going, which IS an important factor, and has been a primary complaint since the line started.
The biggest sin though is character selection, you want Batman or Superman? Great, 90% of the whole line is variations on those characters, and a lot of really wanted characters end up being chase variants. Also you want a version of a character with and without a mask? Well you have to buy two whole figures for that, so enjoy either paying double for a character you like or miss out.
The fact is that while McFarlane was good, the line wasn't good enough to keep the license for a reason, and throwing a hissy fit over figures sight unseen is ridiculous.
