This is only a problem if that window has a lot of direct sunshine though, because all that sun is reflecting onto the glass, causing it to heat up more than it should.

UV light reflection, that bounces off surfaces like your couch, walls, carpet, and even glass, that UV light is diminished by a ton. This is indirect lighting, but depending on the reflectivity, it can still be pretty bad. something like a mirror or glass reflecting the light at like 85% strength. It's noticeably a beam of light.
A white wall or couch? A whole lot less light is reflected, so it really doesn't matter if how much UV is reflected. The light is extremely defused and as safe as the oxygen in the air (takes a very long time of constant exposure to damage a surface. 10-80 years).
