>>11383688>how pathetic are you that you think something is only worth buying if other people buy it too?to be fair, the vast majority of people are pathetic and every company in the world knows this.
Hence trying to show off what the number 1 brand/product it at any given moment. Number 1 movie? Number 1 song? Number 1 video game? It's in all the advertisements/marketing.
And then there's the contrarians who are equally as pathetic, because they think they're cooler just because they like the lesser known shit.
People are so pathetic, that they need to samefag or be a "loud majority", which you constantly see on /toy/, whether it's for liking a brand or shitting on a brand. It's even more pathetic when the "loud majority" are obviously just 2 or 3 people, and the rest of the thread wants nothing to do with them.
Anyway, there's been a ton of awesome shit that has gone on clearance, because for whatever reason, it never resonated with the modern audience or stores just ordered too much shit.
Not my image, but i have a sizeable GI Joe Classified collection now thanks to finding them at Ross. Don't like the idea of buying GI Joes in anything but 1:18, but for $5? Fuck, they're nice enough figures just to own and just to use as cannon fodder for my Marvel and DC figures.
I probably have the entire OVerwatch series too thanks to Ross.
And for opposite effect, i actually skipped over a ton of Figmas in the early 10s when i saw them on clearance for $10-14. Bunch of boring school girls and who wants that? Aside from happybrownguy, who no longer posts on /toy/ because he got killed solicitating the wrong little girl.
... but back to my point, you should always buy whatever awesome shit you like, whether it's popular or not. Following trends is for low IQ faggots.
