>>11398166Megatron can be lackluster depending on your POV, but I really like him. His molded detail is fantastic and he's just so pleasant to merely hold, and he's got these clicky ratchets in his legs, and man if you're the type who likes how much something feels in your hands, you'll like it. Also, something that never goes mentioned enough: holy shit, his tankmode wheels roll like a dream. He is the nicest rolling TF tank I've ever owned.
Perhaps I am gassing him up a little, tho? His horns can fall out p easily, i need to glue mine in (the repaint opted to glue them in outta the box), and while I COMPLETELY don't care about the original's capture claws and ramps whatever, I do care that he didn't come with his shiv. That was an iconic weapon, I'm still waiting for someone to model a nice anime-accurate version of it. But, otherwise, I think he looks stellar and perfectly captures the character's vibes.
Hot Shot suffers from gigantic gaps in both modes, primarily the legs and lacking his rear bumper. He suffers from Legacy Laser Prime/Animated Prime syndrome, in that his transformation was reinvented and overcomplicated to be "fresh", but his proportions and look totally suffer for it. Armada OP, Megs, and RA all transform super faithfully, so it sucks here. He's just incredibly mediocre, and despite the lacking articulation, the original toy would be way more fun.
Starscream lacks a bunch of his color scheme, has QC problems in joints and his jet mode doesn't stay together, has a weird face, his weapons are insultingly tiny, his wings can't come off to become swords, and his back doesn't even have room + a port for a theoretical future Micron to attach to. So again, insultingly mediocre.
If you want to warm up to the characters, just watch Micron Legend. Whole thing's on youtube, but the narrative really gets going starting at ep 23; the first 20 are kinda padding, but decent episodic kids' show stuff.
