I don't disagree with you that he was good as Kirk, but they got to the point where it was like a worn shoe for all of them, and when given good writing, they produced memorable stuff, but when give crap on a cracker (see Undiscovered Country), they produced garbage. Boston Legal was just Bill playing himself, and he could be very charming in interviews, etc., so it was charming, but I would never have been interested in an entire hour of mostly him in that show, versus just the after main episode chats tags at the end, which was about the right amount of Shatner.
>>11412899Good observations. I had one friend who was into both SW and Star Trek but way more into Trek to the point that he bought things like extended edition DVDs and the like. I always tried to get him interested in the toys (which I myself had no interest in, except for maybe the borg ones), and he had no interest. At most, I got him to perk up with the idea of some of the space craft until he decided he didn't really want to display those in his home so we got him some really nice fan made poster art for his office. (Doctor so toys would not work in his office).
