>>11410424They absolutely were not. QC issue aside the Haslab figure is better in every way. The original Omega Prime is a nightmare of engineering. Nothing feels secure at all. Super mode Prime couldn't stand without the ladder propping him up and his armor piece would always fall off. And that's if his his chest didn't just collapse under the weight and topple. It was hard to play with as a kid.
The QC issues are a problem with this release but you can actually get both Omega Prime and his super mode in nice dynamic poses. Magnus is a huge upgrade too. His legs are by design kind of wonky but he has a much less finicky upper body and his legs at least do have some range in them now.
The only issue with this release is some poor chest engineering, which is not okay and Hasbro should get shit for it, but everything else this figure does is better than the original. And the chest has issues because they were trying to compensate for how garbage it was on the original release.
