I was at Walmart for groceries. I hadn't stopped by the toy section since I was maybe 13 and I noticed there was not a single LEGO Star Wars set in the LEGO aisle. There was Harry Potter suprisingly. Did Star Wars really tank that hard?

no, they just moved to making lego star wars as FOMO items that are intended to be scalped. It used to be scalping was a byproduct/side affect of the item's innate desireability, but these days it's actually manufactured to be intentionally scalped..

You must've missed it cause last year they had the Black Millenium Falcon on sale to advertise the new Star Wars Lego show.
Pretty cool set but was close to $200...

I went to a Lego store in Canada two days ago and StarWars was one of the biggest sections it’s probably just an American tariff thing

Your side. My local target had like 3 isles of Lego. One was with the girls stuff, one was the regular Lego and the last isle was combined with ster wars stuff.

As others have pointed out, you didn't check every aisle. Last Walmart I went to, which was months ago since none are nearby, had plenty of SW, across multiple aisle.

As others mentioned, Target usually has two or more aisles and the SW is with the Marvel and what minimal DC (usually batwank) they currently sell. Just all behind glass. But they definitely have SW.
