Since they didn't actually own the Stikfa property, they wanted something of their own, in case they lost the license or Stikfas didn't sell. So the Xevoz line would continue afterward.
From a modern perspective, I think it's weird that Hasbro even licensed shit in the first place, when everything Hasbro now produces are giant movie properties.

Toys that are meant to be swappable need to hold up from repeated pullings and shovings, so i don't think there'sa lot of materials that could actually hold up better.
