I've never seen an action figure prior to 2005 with any redeeming qualities. Model kits and a few chogokin/megazord are the only exception.

I'm a zoomer, so i feel left out of the "community" when someone comes in trying to say how much better vintage star wars or turtles or mego were and the toy we have today are infinitely better sculpted and more accurate.

I think most of the retro toy fad, was nostalgia driven and not because they were any good. In other words they were funko pops for people afraid to collect funko pops
