He was the main villain and most of hero factory antagonists looked like bionicles. Entire series has a bad name because main protagonists were supposed to be cheap.

It also came too soon after Bionicle. If there was a year in between I feel like the reception would have been a lot stronger, especially if they introduced the brand with CCBS rather than Stars builds.

Not a great set, but I wish they had kept the trend of reusing Bionicle masks and recoloring them for HF characters. It's not like these two universe were related anyway. Imagine a Black Phantom wearing a dark red Kraahkan, or something along those lines.
