sometimes. Like if I need parts for something. Or find an open lot.

Fewer and fewer deals.

Also sucks to sell on now. I've got all kinds of sh it up that I dont want anymore and even below average sold price or below msrp, I get zero views.

Rarely for myself, like to the tune of once, maybe twice, per year. I used to buy alot of stuff on eBay but that was 20 years ago.

What I buy now, in spurts, is cheap(ish) vintage lots. I go to this one toy show that really harps on vendors stock a percentage of vintage (pre-2005) items.

A) that's stuff I bought one of for myself 20 years ago
B) it's a tough sell, because it's either hyper expensive due to being flipped and reflipped for decades or junk nobody wants

So I put minimal effort into grabbing a few lots just to meet the stupid requirement, make my money on other stuff, and restock when trickles down low enough.

I'd like to go back to selling on eBay, just to get through inventory faster to stop going to shows sooner, but it's such a hassle for scraps that I can't be bothered.

I've had moderate success reselling gunpla on ebay but sales have shown down this past year. I think a lot of it is the economy and the rest of it how ebay has kept increasing seller fees and pushing for advertising. You won't get seen if you don't do at least 2% on a listing, sometimes as much as 10%. At that much it's not even worth it because with fees that comes to 20% out to ebay.

Cant rly trust ebay anymore I never rly used it. I know alot of ppl that use ebay tho. Sometimes its the only option for ho which sucks. Not just for toys but games aswell like you cant find guitar hero dongles anywhere but there and they r extremely overpriced.

I never find anything cheaper on there than elsewhere, have not bought anything in 2 years

It's worse for selling because

Remember their comments section on listings? They had to shut that down because it was power bottoms & chomos accusing sellers of fraud if they didn't accept an offer. It was highly abused.

Nah, the vintage stuff is usually to high to be a fair deal and if i miss out on a current release its been scalped to hell so once again, a lop sided deal. Its annoying you can # anything which muddys up the search results.

Its not really the scalpers. Ebay and shipping and tax just add 30 to 50 % to msrp.

Say somebody wants to sell a marvel legend for msrp. Well they paid sales tax. Then they pay 6 to 8 to ship it. Then ebay adds 13% of the total. Then the buyer pays sales tax on all of that. At the end, with the seller making nothing, the price goes up 59% at $42.

Its little wonder no one buys on ebay. Ebay, shipping and the tax man has choked the buyer to death

Telling me to save hold it for him for a week, that he will buy it after work(and of course not following up), etc. Asking stupid fucking questions that are answered in the pictures/description. On ebay the buyers just buy.

honestly I think the archaic outdated 00s feel of ebay weeds out a lot of people like women or people who don't know english.

As a trainfag it's the best 24/7 train show out there. Train buyers are less problematic and more honorable vs the general public from what I have seen trying to sell other items. I would only use eBay to sell my trains otherwise forge it or donate for a tax write-off.
