>>11512351>Lazy people love to fall back on the>>No one is hiring...It is actually kind of true, though. The real problem is most people's mindset is absolutely retarded. Most modern people are so financially illiterate, that they have a "Spend, spend, spend. Buy, Buy Buy." mentality. It has just accelerated in the last 5 years, where people were buying houses, cars, taking out loans they couldn't afford, maxing out credit cards, and living waaaaaay outside of their means.
Then when some kind of crunch comes, and they get laid off, or fired, or can't find a job, or, or even just have to cut back or other unexpected things happen, they don't have any way to deal with it, and they cry and blame capitalism instead of their own inability to manage their own financial situations. People have been saying that the US is in "late stage capitalism" for about the last 100 years, and every time there is a big economic downturn then "this one is different" and they've been saying that the last 6-7 times it has happened in those last 100 years.
The average person, at best, seems to only be able to plan out to about the end of the week. Never mind what might happen a year or 5 years from, never mind what you should be doing about your retirement 20/30/40 years from now..
