Agreed. I have no issue. Just answering OP's question for why he has so many likes and views. It's because official manufactures repost his pictures so they cross promote each other. Becoming a professional toy photographer is like a dream job.

I don't have an issue with it. He's clearly
living his best life by taking pictures of toys, getting free stuff and invited to events. And he deserves it, I mean just look as this unparalleled creativity, 2 figures standing there doing nothing, his account is so imaginative, I am not envious at all.

Sort of related but I've seen a few toy "photographers" on instagram with like tens of thousands of followers but their content is so shit. Poor posing, bad figure placement, using the same background in every single photo, etc. Do they buy followers or what I don't get how they're so popular. I do toy photography too but only have like 1.5k

Buying likes is the dumbest shit ever and I don't get when people went from doing things they enjoy for the sake of the hobby to doing things just for the sake of engagement and being the next big 'influencer.' Not to say the person in OP's pic is buying likes, but just to say it sort of makes you question the 'realness' of the engagement you see on the gram.

You don't buy likes all the time, the idea is to boost the account and have your images appear on people's feeds and garner a legitimate audience that way. It is pretty gross, but it's the literally the only way to grow an account these days. Obviously you should enjoy your hobby for yourself, but for some people part of the fun is sharing your images and it's difficult to do that when literally no one can see them.
