8 inch figures...?

No.11519082 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
Why when costs are increasing and space is becoming more of an issue for long term collectors are figures only getting bigger? Shouldn't manufacturers be trying to cut costs by cutting the size of the steel tools for figures by going smaller, either true 1/12th scale or even 5in scale? What is the logic behind the decisions to make giant unwieldy figures that can barely pose without a stand due to their size and weight? And most sales are now online so it isn't even "people pass by a huge figure in the toy aisle and are impressed." That was Todd-logic, but something like this new 8 inch line isn't going to be sold in any store I know of.
