It's a thin brittle piece of plastic that is kept under stress if you try holstering the wand in it, making it a key point for breakage. If I ever want to holster it, I'll end up tying it with string or doing something to hold it there without using it. I can foresee this being a common issue with these in the future and people snapping these.
In order to split Venkman's chin, they made the curious+unfortunate choice to run a razor down them. It's off-center and looks like damage at a glance. It really didn't accomplish what they hoped.
Slimer turned out well but seems to me they should have intended to cover him over more of the line. The series was literally retooled to center him due to the popularity of the character. One model with one arms set included as an accessory to Venkman doesn't seem sufficient to represent his dynamics. Where are the arms that can grasp Venkman's leg? Where are the pizza-gobbling arms and expression? Where's the extendable tongue?
And I'm already looking at alt stands because the single slime base just doesn't do enough, we need to be able to pose him in+around the Ghostbusters. Something that can over-the-shoulder and raise him more than a foot off the ground is needed.
Samhain is certainly a lesson in compromises, his cloak in the cartoon is a lot less restrictive (more potato sack than gown) but they had to settle on a look for molded plastic so this is what you get. No complaints because you get a statue with some arm articulation and that's mostly what he's about, just looks menacing and emotes a lot.
And that's really what it comes down to: Mondo making 1:12 with the same aesthetic as their 1:6 line. They're intended to look good standing upright in a display case, but not the end-all of Ghostbusters if you were looking for posability, accessories and options.
