What is the point of putting a voyager class transformer in its own anti theft box? Its rescue bots cancer so i dont even inner city kids want to steal it

I was chasing down a $14.99 LEGO when it was on sale for $11.99; I would see it (or toys in that size/price) at some Targets behind the lock boxes and others just on the shelf.

PICREL is certainly NOT some mandate from Hasbro.

As a retail wagie, you should never underestimate what people are liable to steal. Obviously it isn't out of desperate necessity (or else it'd be stuff like medicine instead of candy bars or toys) but I can never tell how much of it is just coked out white trash being petty assholes and how much of it is an unironic mental/compulsive disorder.

its probably to prevent kids from breaking it on camera so they can post it to their tiktok or insta or whatever app they have and farm likes.

I actually think Heatwave's basic design would work well as a real Transformer and was highly disappointed when he was just a bad Bulkhead repaint. My kid loves Rescue Bots so it's a shame we can't get anything better then the original autochange kiddy figures from back when the show was airing.

Most of them don't even transform and they don't have diecast parts anymore. At least gas still does what it's advertised to do.

I used to steal lego minifigs out of boxes when i was an edgy teenager because i was really depressed and got addicted to it until one of my parents caught me. Im glad i never got in any legal trouble over it but i also regret doing it because i very well could have gotten in some serious shit over it. I dont know why i was doing that for like six months so much

Those were all probably reasons for why i justified doing it in my head. I was also mad at the stores at the time for things like poor distribution on figures i wanted and other shit like retail prices increasing especially in lego sets so thats why i stole mostly from lego, tho i did steal other things at times. I have a h.e.r.b.i.e. figurine from the marvel universe line still that i stole from a walmart back then. Again i regret it now but i was really big into being a kleptomaniac way back when.

Blacks. Almost all the Walmarts and Targets here in GA lock just about anything over 20 dollars up. That and pretty much all Lego. The ones who don't, you go into the isle, and it looks like a tornado went through. Toys torn out of box, card packs ripped open, and it isn't even just the browns. Neck beards and scalpers love to crack packs in the isles. I caught a turbo nerd doing it to Pokemon cards, all the employees didn't care.

Don't these things have like no plastic window? I think it's fairly obvious why they'd do this. I can't even count on my fingers and toes how many times I've seen transformers missing their heads and other parts, or having been drawn on, or damaged by people. Heck, I once saw one covered in someone's snot.
