It bothers me that lego minifigs are held to the same standard and legacy as real figures.

But it also keeps kidults away from my expensive figures, which would be scalped to 1000's of dollars if normies cared about shf or mafex.

depends on what you mean
minifigs are dressing for the sets themselves, people who only collect the minifigs are strange because at that point it would make more sense for them to collect an actual action figure line
minifigs also have 7 poa, which is around the same as sw figures in the early 2000's

Exactly. It's like a collector of the damn things complaining about Funko Pops looking similar.
They're all variations on a mold, except with minifigs, you're encouraged to actually play with them.

Those torsoes are fucking horrifying. You can ignore the bottom-heavy design of a regular 'fig torso because it's a single trapezoid. Not so much when, as visible in the black one, a side view makes it look like a tiny shrunken skinnyfat chest with soi-grown manboobs flopping sadly over a bulbous gut that's uncannily tall and wide rather than just protruding.

I would compare MiniFigs to something like the Jada or Mattel army solider/super hero cape toppers

I wouldn't even compare a 5POA to a Funko Pop. And a MF is just a funko with some articulation at a much tinier scale.
