Lego is dead. DEAD. current adults buy Lego because they are nostalgic for the cool sets from their childhood. Current children don't get cool Lego sets, just lame 5 bucks bargain bin minis or some lame overpriced facade on their birthday or christmas. You won't be nostalgic for this.

that's a 0.04% chance they will make the one character you want

Fortnite has NO iconic characters that represent the brand. (think about Pokemon = Pikachu)
you might try and defend this by tossing out banana guy or pink bear head girl, but nobody knows the name of the game or characters. (non-fans of course)

the game itself doesn't have any kind of story attached to it, that they could make any sort of media for. no 80's-style cartoon commercial, no Fortnite: The Movie! opportunities

it's a miracle that Fortnite is popular at all.

having said all that, the character designs are top-tier, and it's a shame we can't get even a few of them as figures consistently

that works for nearly every Fortnite character, people kind of recognize them, but not enough to have any particular one stand out

I don't think it's so much that ALL the toy lines flopped. I think there were just WAY too many companies making similar products. The market was so oversaturated that no one line could sustain itself well enough. Has any new IP ever had this many almost simultaneous products at market in such a short time span?

At least only 2 action figure lines exist at a time, though. Youtooz, Fukno or Nerf always naturally coexist with them, but they're never part of the saturation

No we had many more than just 2 figure lines at a time. Each company had multiple different lines in stores at the same time. McF had the 7" and 11" at the same time Jazwares had the 4", 6" and 12" being sold, in addition to other things like the Moose mini figures. There were always way too many competing products and usually several of the same skins too

I really liked them, and most were far better than they had any right to be. Most of the designs were so creative that they really stand out in a display. I dont even play the game, but my 15 year old nephew who does absolutely loves my little fortnite shelf.

Really nice display! Very clean. Which set does the little chicken come in? I want that ha. I added a couple non-Fortnite characters to mine recently. Just goes to show how literally anyone can fit in and not look out of place. Next acquisition will be the Fallout Power Armor coming soon.

Thanks. Cool display you got there too. I have a ton of figures in storage because I just don't have room for it all, so its good seeing all your figures all together like that. As for the chicken, he came with the Yellow Ratpor.

Comparable to a standard Jurassic Park Dino. Head goes up and down, left and right, jaw opens, neck can go up and down, Arms have 360 movement, legs go up and down, and that's about it. Nothing to write home about, but its definitely a cool looking display piece, and the smaller figures can even ride them. There's also a red one that I think looks cooler, but I really wanted the chicken. Last I checked, they're not too expensive.

Hasbro was gay and filled the line halfway with lame characters, printed recolors and avoided doing anything jazwares had already done. Probably the biggest blunder for an IP that could have possibly happened considering how far jazwares was taking it.

Right. They were in a hard spot. Re-make skins that were popular that Jazwares had just made, or make lesser popular characters. They chose the latter and then sales weren't great. But it was probably the price increase while offering less accessories that hurt too. Then since sales were lower, they had to resort to doing more repaints instead of new sculpts. It's a death spiral for most lines once that happens.

I never played it either, just really liked the looks of them. Jazwares were the best in both 6 in and 4 in, never tried hasbro and my only mcfarlane is peely bone and its just basically a statue with joints.
