if you are 3d printing them, why are they still not in scale, not in the correct colors and I can already tell they dont look good up close. I just know they will have huge visible layer lines on them and the smaller details like eyes and patterns wont look good. Prove me wrong and show close ups tho. 3d printed things can look nice but almost every person who tries to push them doesnt make them look nice

Tried to make sense of the blokees measurements, this should be pretty close if you're wondering how they look next to a figma. Snorlax's 13.4cm to the head without the ears lines up roughly to Lucario being 9.8cm with ears. If the 13.4cm is measured from Snorlax's ears then Lucario shrinks to be to small for the 9.8cm. Cinderace's 11.9cm is to the red thing on its head and not ears. Then for Sycther just looking at it he's obviously not the listed 13.3cm, they probably counted his wings raised all the way up for that.

What are you on about? Raihan and Duraludon are scaled fine. Raihan is well over 6ft tall and Duraludon is just under 6ft tall. Other Figmas aren't perfect but they are all scaled pretty well and what most collectors want their Pokemon to scale with

The default trainer they use in Home is 4'11". The Lucario seems about right with the ears going to almost the shoulders. Their Scyther is really tiny.

Blokees Lucario looks a little short still but it just doesn't look good. The limbs are too fat and joints too chunky. The LDCX one looks much better

In terms of the 3 megas that have been officially shown I'm not too impressed by them. But from the leak list there's some that I'm interested in seeing. The combiner Falinks seems like a really fun idea. I want minifigs of regular Falinks too.

I'd prefer the 2nd Gen starters finally get some real articulated figures, so I can complete my starter line. I have a great Feraligatr and Typhlosion, but Meganium has never had anything. Likewise with Croconaw, Bayleaf and Quilava.

Me too. I want sets that are Poke-fied buildings that include a few unique Pokemon or trainers. Things like the PV Village line. MEGA already did a large Pikachu, large Ash and many other large Pokemon. I want something different and more in line with traditional Lego sets

I got a Nidoking, Torterra set, Milotic set. After the sale coupons, they were about 22cad each. Side by side with my genuine scale worlds, they look no different. They don't have every set. but they have about 10-15

I imagine they'll have "iconic" sets to appeal to adult Genwunners who have money but haven't played or watched anything past the first game or series. They'll see these in the aisle while they're shopping with their kids and pick them up. I imagine a list like: Pallet Town diorama, or Oak's Lab; a Pokémon Center playset with Nurse Joy, Officer Jenny and Chansey; maybe a gym like Brock's or Misty's or Team Rocket's Balloon.

Question regarding older figures. I was wondering if Tomy released gen 2 three pack of the starters second stages? This would have been around 2015-2016. And the figures would have been the bigger, articulated figures to give some scale. Not the smaller moncolle figures that are all the same size. I have three, 3 packs from Gen 1, 3 and 6. Never saw a gen 2 sadly. I think 4 may have gotten a release but I'm not sure. Anybody know if 2, 4 or 5 got releases?

I think those big 18+ sets are all going to be display items probably locations with a lot of intricacy in the builds, similar to the One Piece sets. I can't see them making the adult sets big Pokemon builds like a Pikachu as that'll just be a huge pile of yellow bricks. That just doesn't feel in line with how they usually approach the adult focus sets. Now if there's also kids sets those will probably be small Pokemon builds similar to what Mega did with their sets. Something like that teaser with the brick built pika tail.

It's so weird because we got first stage evos for the Johto starters. I have 1st and 2nd stages for gens 1 and 3 so 2 feels a bit sparse not having them. Gen 4 and onwards I don't really care.

To me pokemon toys don't make sense unless it has all of them(or at very least all the og 151 or the full dex of another generation). Otherwise it will always feel incomplete, pokemon shines the brightest when you look at them as a set.

The most developed product line in terms of the number of creatures is Bandai Kids. They've created 891 different Pokémon out of 1,025 (the first six regions are complete).

I don't think any other brand will go as far in terms of their Pokedex.

You all wanted this comparison so here it is, he's short for a figma.
Letting scale obssesion aside, its a great toy, has a super nice matte finish all over it like charizard. I thought it would be all hollow plastic like jazwares stuff but it is somewhat a heavy toy and has a very solid feel to it.
The diorama piece it's great as always, and the mega punch effect fits just fine in snorlax hand. Im happy with this guy, its like the evolution to the tomy usa one, articulates almost the same but without looking like some kind of robo snorlax

Why the fuck do you want a figure that doesn't need any joints in the action figure line where the entire point it to make them articulated? They still can't do bendy wire parts that slim. It's not difficulty of assembly I'm concerned about, I have Shodos, but they're not very playable. I'm always concerned about breaking them. As someone who likes to smash them together occasionally or fool around with play features the westoid baby trash for ham hands suits me. I'll probably still pick up Blokees when they get to my favorites though.

Perhaps try a cheap small one first, they're regularly on sale on Ali. Those are at least surprisingly sturdy.

nobody wants Malamar but you. It'll never be made in the line anyway. The line is marketed as having articulation to the public and to retailers. They'll never do a figure like that where it's 99% bendy plastic and just one or two real joints.

We're talking about places to actually put the joints though. Dragpult has at least three joints in each limb plus the torso one plus the neck even if you can't do much with them. Malamar doesn't even have places were joints would make any sense. Maybe one in the base of the neck and maybe one or two on the body but nowhere else.

Got my Blokees Miku in.
I expected plamo, but it's really just build-a-figma. Her head's quite top heavy though (solid, not hollow hair), so the tighter joints are a plus there.
Zeraora's still pretty big next to her.

Got my mons. Replaced Cinderace with Psyduck because I have no love for the former.

I would say this wave feels like a marked step up in quality from the first, it’s a bit crazy. Joint placement and weight distribution are excellent, I cannot believe how well Scyther stands, though the scythes do pop out if you over-contract the elbows. Snorlax honestly feels like you’re getting your money’s worth even with the limited articulation, the face gimmick is great and the stand is charming, also the Mega Punch effect is amazing.

Overall I think they just picked Pokemon that make for better toys in wave 2.

I think Lucario is great, I actually love the stand. I just already have the VAH and the paint and accessories on that eke out a win just a bit. Here’s a picture with the Shorto too, I enjoyed collecting that line but Blockees blows it out of the water.

Also a really nice perk (not pictured) is the special cards they printed for the Gen 1 Pokemon. It’s atop the other tags they package each set with, but it has a great finish. I’ll post a picture if anyone cares, but I wanted to have all my Gen 1 Blockees in a picture together.
