Why did toys to life concept die? I enjoyed stuff like pic related, Skylanders, Disney Infinity, etc. The toys were dope and games were fun. Would a relaunch work Today?

TTL was one of the things that killed Toys R Us, and no one ever tried again because that dumping ground is gone. Skylanders and Dimensions were kino though, and everything else sucked

didn't lego do some kind of AR thing with one of their themes a few years ago? Not exactly the same, but kinda felt like an extension of the idea without being tethered to a game console, just a phone app which are more ubiquitous these days.
