>I also do not understand why these recent color tamas insist on having black fadeouts between screens.Seems like something they've started to do since the Pix and Smart era to showcase how "smooth" the animations are. The Pix got away relatively unscatched since a lot of its assets are actually reused from the m!x/Meets, so the snappier menu UIs and general gameplay structure is very similar (minus the gene mixing) so fadeouts were almost exclusively used for room transitions and returning from an item animation back to the basic idle, but since most of the Smart was made from scratch, every single instance of menuing and animation fade to black for some reason.
Personally I feel like the fades to black while annoying only get amplified by the Paradise's UI, with how split up the menus are and having to zoom in/out all the time along with certain functions just not being laid out well at all. Having to zoom in all the way to check stats, then zoom out to feed, then zoom out to clean etc. is very annoying, especially when the menu always defaults to the useless planet screen.
Compare to how snappy the Connection UI is, where you have info first so checking up is easy, and then food, bathroom and games are all immediately after since they're the most important/consistent things you'll regularly do.
