Same problem as making Amazing World of Gumball figures: cheated angles.
The Smiling Friends designs work pretty well in 2D media on screens (since you usually see them from only one angle) but convert that up into 3D and boy howdy that becomes pretty uncanny fast.
You'd probably need like two Charlie heads to swap between his usual face angle (2 eyes on one side of his head) and his front-facing angle.
Would be a decent surprise if somehow Chris got Tomar to use the Tomar Emeralds to commit an unholy abomination of perspective fuckery that makes Charlie's head work as an action figure.
Y'know, when Tomar's not off committing sins against god and nature.
