>>11614030>What's a Cryotek? He was a Cybertronian mob boss who had previously worked under Deathsaurus before breaking off and forming his own criminal empire. The Predacons who would later become Megatron, Terrorsaur, Waspinator, and Scorponok all originally worked for him, but when Cryotek planned a heist to steal the Golden Disk on a tip that it contained a message from G1 Megatron etched into it, BW Megs betrayed him and stole it for himself, hiring Dinobot as extra muscle and Tarantulas to decode the message for him instead before stealing a Transwarp-capable ship. As Megatron set off for primitive Earth, setting off the opening scene of the Beast Wars cartoon, Cryotek was arrested and dragged off to a high-security prison, which he later escaped from when Megatron came back and conquered Cybertron.
The 3H comics elaborate on his fate further - Megatron initially came to him to help him remove his dragon Beast Mode, but Cryotek planned on stealing it for himself so he could use its power to conquer Cybertron instead; while he succeeded in giving himself the Beast Mode, he failed to remove it completely from Megatron (who just regenerated it, the same way he kept doing in BM), and ended up putting himself into a coma. When he woke up, Megatron had stolen his research for making a Stasis-Lock Virus and had used it to take over the planet already.
Then he runs off to New Quintessa, does a bunch of evil shit, and eventually gets defeated (but not killed) by Sentinel Maximus.
>>11614073>was it on the sprue? It was on the original TM2 Megatron sprues. While it was decided to remove the pilot from all of the Megatron releases and the Western release for Cryotek, the Takara release didn't bother and just left it as-is.
