>>11617177From what I recall, the story was boring, the characters were lame, and while the gimmick itself wasn't a bad idea the execution left a lot to be desired. While swapping parts was fun enough for a bit, the characters and pieces being so wildly different meant that most of the time they looked coolest in their default forms, which contradicts the whole point. I had the red bug guy because I thought his head was cool, but even when he was built he just felt like a clunky mess of awkward parts.
In different ways both Bionicle and Xevoz did a far better job at what Galidor was going for. Bionicle was a far better building toy that also functioned as an action figure line with its own lore. Xevoz made far more appealing characters with parts that were more fun to swap and vague enough that they could be interchanged into more cohesive designs.
