What's are the best toys for a 2 years old? I feel like he is to old for baby toys but not enough there for the real cool shit like carrera, etc.

Imaginext is perfect. And gives them a great in to shit like Superman, Batman, Power Rangers, and Spongebob. My kids have dozens of big ass playsets and tons of figures and vehicles. The packaving says 3 and up but just put away the accessories until they are older.

Anything with too much moving parts like an action figure will be wrecked in seconds. Anything too babified he'll outgrow incredibly fast. The usual large dinasours/animals and vehicles are a safe option, those are my most played with and loved toys from when I was that age.
Cardboard boxes are awesome for a child and basically free. Even if it doesn't engage him you can bin it easily.

What >>11627082 said, and toys of a similar size. Bluey and Paw Patrol are also a huge thing for young kids, and it's easy to mix them with Magna Tiles, Duplo and Little people as the kid gets older and their play gets more complex.

It's always the most amazing thing to watch my kid sit there and play with her figures in the little town she built for her to suddenly jump up and dig through her toybin because she realized she needs that one Little Person figure to fit the role of whatever crazy story she's telling herself.

ChompSaw... do what other anons said and get cardboard boxes. let the kid go nuts and its so fun he wont outgrow it for a few years. IF strapped for cash get him a safe-saw same idea but its manual and not as fun. both are 100% safe in all ways and he can make little crafts with his pops

Might depend on the kid but yeah, boxes or paper bags made into mask are proven winners. Anything that gets them away from a screen, give them a spoon and let them dig in yard if you can and youd obviously have to watch them if they were digging. I used to play with my dads wire nuts since they looked like space ships.

My two year old went nuts when I got her this for Christmas. Not only does she love going down it but we made a game where we stack blocks down at the bottom and then send different cars and toys down it to try and knock over the towers.
