It is hard to understate just how fucking much that one single IP was doing for Hasbro as a whole. And while, yeah, it's still making a LOT of money, Wizards of the Coast reached the point where they ran out of consumer goodwill a couple years ago (Deliberately, by choice mind you) and have mostly just been coasting by whoring out the game to whatever IP wants to pay them the most. Or in the case of Marvel, Making a hilariously one-sided deal several years ago where they legally aren't allowed to use Marvel IP in Magic's digital client but still promising multiple sets based off a dying IP.
